Bethesda announces release of Fallout Shelter spiritual successor set in Elder Scrolls

Fallout is one of the most beloved Bethesda IPs as everyone absolutely adores the third and fourth installment, as well as the New Vegas spin-off by Obsidian. However, away from the realm of consoles, there are also many who love Fallout Shelter. Bethesda’s mobile game proved massively addictive, and the developer has announced the release date for a Fallout Shelter spiritual successor set in the Elder Scrolls.

It’s been a fantastic year for Fallout fans so far. There was the release of the hit Amazon prime series followed by the Fallout 4 next-gen update. Just recently we also got the release of the highly-anticipated Fallout London mod. This mod has proven a massive success, and the developer plans to add cut content with support up until the end of the year.

While the Amazon prime series, next-gen update, and London mod have all been great, fans of Fallout Shelter will be thrilled to hear that the release date for The Elder Scrolls Castles is now final. It is coming out soon, and it’s a spiritual successor that promises to be even bigger and better.

Bethesda has announced the release date for The Elder Scrolls Castles. It is set to come out on September 10th, and you can now pre-register on Google Play for Android and the Apple store for iOS devices.

This new Elder Scrolls game was revealed all the way back in January, but it has only just now resurfaced with a launch date and the ability to pre-register. Bethesda has also provided a new deep dive going over all of the game’s qualities and features.

It is a spiritual success to the management sim Fallout Shelter that proved massively popular back in 2015. Fallout Shelter made its way onto console in 2018, so hopefully the same will happen with Elder Scrolls Castles, but right now it’s confirmed for mobile only.
