Best MTZ-556 attachments in MW3
- Optic: Caucasus Reflex Sight
- Barrel: MTZ Drifter Barrel
- Underbarrel: Chewk Angled Grip
- Muzzle: Colossus Suppressor
- Stock: RB Crotalus Assault Stock
When it comes to optics on the MTZ-556, it’s easy to go with the MK. 23 Reflector because you don’t have to unlock anything to get it. However, if you simply get Rival-9 to level two — which isn’t hard and Rival-9 is the best SMG in the game so you’re probably using it anyway — you can get the Caucasus Reflex Sight on your MTZ-566, which is a far superior optic.
The best barrel to use on MTZ-556 is the MTZ Drifter Barrel because it increases your damage and range. You need to get MTZ-556 to level 16 to unlock it, so in the meantime, I recommend the MTZ Clinch Pro Barrel.
The most challenging thing to get for the MTZ-556 is the Chewk Angled Grip because it requires you to get the Longbow sniper rifles to level 11. That said, Chewk Angled Grip does a great job of increasing your accuracy, recoil control, and mobility, so it is really good. If you don’t want to grind for it, I recommend going for the Bruen TR-24 Assault Grip instead, which requires you to get MTZ-556 to level 10 and increases your recoil control.
You need to get MTZ-556 to level 25 to get it, but the Colossus Suppressor is a must-have since the red dots on mini-maps are back in MW3. You’ll sacrifice some damage and ADS speed, but you’ll gain invisibility on the map, which is crucial.
The RB Crotalus Assault Stock is the final touch to make the best MTZ-556 build in MW3. Get MTZ-556 to level 15 and it’s yours. This stock is amazing because you’ll gain even more recoil control for the slightest penalty to ADS speed.

Best secondary, tactical, lethal, and field equipment for MTZ-556 build
- Secondary: Renetti
- Tactical: Battle Rage
- Lethal: Breacher Drone
- Field Upgrade: Comm Scrambler
The best secondary weapon so far in MW3 is Renetti, so go with that. In my opinion, Battle Rage is the best option for tactical because it gives you a slight boost to health and movement.
I love the Breacher Drone because it’s a highly effective grenade that is fun to use, but if you don’t like the Breacher Drone, I think the Frag Grenade is also amazing. And the best field upgrade is easily Comm Scrambler, so equip that.
Best gloves, boots, gear, and vest for MTZ-556 build
- Gloves: Scavenger Gloves
- Boots: Stalker Boots
- Gear: Mission Control Comlink
- Vest: Infantry Vest
For your gloves perk, go with Scavenger so you never run out of ammo. I think the Stalker Boots are the best boots because you’ll get increased strafe and ADS movement speed, which is really helpful.
My favorite gear is the Mission Control Comlink because I like getting my killstreaks sooner. However, Bone Conduction Headset is really good if you want extra help listening to footsteps, and Ghost T/V Camo is incredible.
I recommend the Infantry Vest because you get one tactical and one lethal, but you also get a buff to sprint, which is always helpful.
