Strand has always been my go-to Titan Subclass as it’s devastating and easy to use. Prismatic may finally change that. Here are our Best Destiny 2 Titan Prismatic builds: Aspects, Fragments, and abilities.
Best PvE Prismatic Titan build in Destiny 2
I foolishly wrote off the Prismatic Subclass at launch because I figured it wasn’t as survivable as the legendary Banner of War Titan. That build is still viable, but Prismatic Titans are spoiled for choice of ways to stay alive.
This build has everything I want for a Titan. Mountains of damage reduction and a focus on punching things in the face! Here’s how it works:
Best Hunter’s Journal Artifact Perks for the Prismatic Titan
There are some potent bonuses available in the Hunter’s Journal, so make sure to equip them. Don’t worry if you can’t access all of these right away, but here are some Perks I recommend you work toward:
- Radiant Orbs – While a Solar or Prismatic Subclass is equipped, picking up an Orb of Power makes you Radiant.
- Galvanic Armor – While you have an Arc or Prismatic Subclass equipped, incoming damage is reduced while Amplified.
- Shieldcrush – While you have Woven Mail, Frost Armor, or a Void Overshield, your Melee recharges faster and deals more damage. While Amplified or Radiant, your grenade recharges faster and deals more damage.
Radiant Orbs and Galvanic Armor are straight bonuses to our survivability. While we don’t use the Void subclass, we do use the Prismatic Super, Twilight Arsenal, which is Void. Shieldcrush pairs nicely with our Super and makes us nigh unkillable while it’s live.
Best PvE Prismatic Titan Aspects and Fragments
After trying out multiple Prismatic builds and ideas, here’s the build that works best for me, even at a level deficit:
Aspects
- Diamond Lance – Shatter or defeat targets with abilities or Stasis weapons to create a Stasis Lance.
- Knockout – Critically wounding a target or breaking their shield infuses your Melee with Arc energy. Melee range and damage are increased briefly while in this state. Defeating enemies with melee attacks makes you Amplified and restores a portion of your health.
Fragments
- Facet of Protection – You’re more resistant to incoming damage while surrounded by enemies.
- Facet of Purpose – Picking up an Orb of Power grants either Amplify, Restoration, Frost Armor, Woven Mail, or Void Overshield based on the type of your Super.
- Facet of Ruin – This increases the size and damage of the burst when you shatter a Stasis Crystal or Frozen Target. Increases the size of Solar Ignitions.
- Facet of Dawn – Powered melee hits against targets make you Radiant. Powered final blows make both you and nearby allies Radiant.
- Facet of Courage – Your Arc, Solar, and Void abilities deal increased damage to opponents afflicted by a Darkness debuff.
Knockout is easily one of the strongest Aspects available to the Prismatic Titan and is one of several avenues we use for survivability. I’ve tentatively put Diamond Lance in the build, but you do have a few options here. I desperately want to recommend Consecration, but I find it unreliable and awkward. If you have no issue with the ability, it works great with our Fragments and gives decent Radiance uptime.
I find Diamond Lance easy to use, and it goes well with our Glacier Grenades, which I’ll talk about later.
As for Fragments, the Facet of Protection is essential for damage reduction. Facet of Purpose pairs with our Prismatic Super and gives us a Void Overshield whenever we pick up an Orb of Power. I find that Facet of Ruin is always a viable fragment if you use Stasis or Solar, and Facet of Dawn gives us Radiance. Finally, Facet of Courage makes our Thunderclap deal incredible damage if they are affected by our Diamond Lances or Glacier Grenades.
These Aspects and Fragments may be hard to visualize without the Abilities to tie them to, so let’s hit those next.
Best PvE Prismatic Titan Abilities
- Super – Twilight Arsenal
- Class Ability – Towering Barricade
- Movement – Strafe Lift
- Melee Ability – Thunderclap
- Grenade – Glacier Grenade
You can change your Class and Movement abilities to suit your preferences, but the remaining three Abilities make the build work. The Prismatic Titan Super, Twilight Arsenal is a phenomenal damage dealer and is wonderfully stylish. As it’s Void, we get Overshields from our Facet of Purpose, which is another defensive boon for the build.
Thunderclap is a great melee ability that can be charged to deal even more damage. We gain Radiance from Facet of Dawn and this will happen a lot if you fully charge those Thunderclap punches. The Glacier Grenade is one of our routes to filling our Darkness bar with Transcendence. We’ve buffed it with the Fragment of Ruin, and Fragment of Courage makes our Thunderclap punches deal more damage against frozen targets.

- Appetence Trace Rifle

- Brigand’s Law Sidearm
- Indebted Kindness Sidearm
- Edge Transit Grenade Launcher
- Dragon’s Breath Rocket Launcher
Armor Mods
- Helmet – Heavy Ammo Finder x2
- Gauntlets – Momentum Transfer x2, Heavy Handed x1
- Chest – Arc Resistance, Void Resistance, Solar Resistance
- Legs – Absolution, Innervation, Recuperation
- Titan Mark – Reaper x1, Bomber x2.
I don’t like builds that strongarm me into specific weapon choices. In my opinion, there are too many cool legendary weapons in Destiny 2 to only use a handful. I’ve suggested a few decent weapons, but this build works like a contained engine as we lean heavily into our Arc melee prowess. Brigand’s Law and Indebted Kindness both require Voltshot to truly pop off, so keep that in mind.
While the Edge Transit may seem like a poor fit for an Arc and Stasis build, it’s ridiculous in damage phases if you have one with Envious Assassin and Bait and Switch.
There are a few Exotics that would work well with our Aspects and Fragments, but I recommend the Severence Enclosure. It’s a simple Exotic, but makes our Thunderclap Punches deal even more damage as our opponents explode when they die.
Can I use this build in the Crucible?
At the time of writing, it’s hard to say how Prismatic builds will work in PvP. Fragments work differently between PvE and PvP and can be essential in one mode and dreadful in the other. Most of the build in this guide should be OK in the Crucible, but I’d swap your primary weapon to something like the Unending Tempest SMG with Dynamic Sway Reduction and Target Lock.
As most guns work fine with this build, make sure you’ve got every Exotic weapon you need for the tough battles ahead.
