12 Blood of Lathandar Re-Divined

Edits an Existing Weapon to Make it More Cleric Friendly

Baldur's Gate 3: How To Treat Dislocated Shoulder

Despite supposedly being a holy weapon for a holy warrior, the Blood of Lathandar was severely lacking in some areas. No radiant damage was applied to any hits made with it, and the weapon required significant strength to wield it. Not every cleric is a powerhouse, so this mod creator decided to take matters into their own hands and do some reflavoring to this weapon to make it stronger in the hands of a cleric.

It now uses the wielder’s Wisdom modifier, giving it the light and finesse properties, applying 1d6 radiant damage, and allowing the wielder to cast Sunbeam for 10 turns, which recharges now on a Short Rest. These significant buffs make this modded weapon a must-have.

11 Myrkul’s Scythe

Allows the User to Wield a Legendary Weapon

Baldurs Gate 3 Apostle of Myrkul Boss Ketheric Thorm Guide

The Apostle of Myrkul is one of the toughest bosses in the game, as it follows on immediately from another boss that might have drained most of the party’s resources, leaving them in dire need of a Long Rest. The boss wields a legendary scythe that deals some serious damage, but it was not usable by players until now.

The Myrkul’s Scythe weapon mod allows players to add the weapon to their inventory and wield it as they would any other weapon in the game. It deals some serious damage, offering additional necromancy damage on each spell, and allows the players to summon a flesh golem to aid them in combat.

10 Weapons of Olympus

God of War Villains Who Were Good- Athena

For players who love the Olympic Gods and want a taste of their weaponry, the Weapons of Olympus mod is here to answer their prayers. This mod pack adds multiple weapons for players to find in the tutorial chest and at some vendors scattered across the world and across each act.

As one would expect, the weapons are considerably powerful and are flavored to fit the God they are representative of so that players can choose to wield the powers of their favorite Greek God.

9 Infinity Weapons

Weapons Now Scale with the Players

Baldur's-Gate-3-Best-Healing-Spells

One complaint players might have about Baldur’s Gate 3 is that the equipment doesn’t scale with them, meaning that they will have to source new armor and weapons as their level increases in order to keep up with the difficulty and stand a chance at surviving harder encounters.

The Infinity Weapons mod can alleviate this, as it causes weapons to scale alongside players and grants bonus effects that can be toggled on or off, allowing gamers to tailor their weapons to their preferences. This mod comes for both melee and ranged weapons, leaving nobody out in the cold.

8 Legendary Items Release Update

Includes an Entire Armory’s Worth of Powerful Magical Items

Baldur's Gate 3 The Blood of Lathander

Magical items are like candy to D&D players; once they get a taste, they are sure to want more. Basic magic items are usually only +1, giving bonuses to attack rolls, AC, or damage. But then there is the hallowed Legendary tier of magical items, which comes with much higher stats and more effects.

The Legendary Items mod adds a whole host of Legendary magical items, including armor, items, and many weapons, such as the Dragon Blade, Flail of Pain, Crossbow of Many Bolts, and more. This mod is a must for players who are eager to get their hands on some Legendary weapons, as it offers something for everyone.

7 The Legendary Phalar Aluve

Transforms an in-game Sword into a Legendary Weapon

Player character holding aloft a glowing weapon

Players may remember a certain sword that can be found in the Underdark: the Phalar Aluve. Players who choose to play a character of a holy persuasion, such as Paladins or Clerics, might be treated to a brief and intriguing scene when they first stumble upon it and will get a fairly cool weapon out of it. But the modding community is here to make it even more awesome with the Legendary Phalar Aluve mod.

With this mod, the sword is elevated to Legendary status and given the buffs it needs for its new level. Fans of this weapon will now be able to wield this blade for much longer thanks to this mod.

6 Frostmourne

Players Can Wield this Legendary Sword Belonging to a Powerful Lich King

World of Warcraft Frostmourne floating in Icecrown

World of Warcraft players will be intimately familiar with the blade known as Frostmourne. This legendary sword belonged to the Lich King and held within it the terrifying power to cleave souls from the bodies of the living and trap them within, turning the victims into mindless undead. The power to kill and then turn those killed into minions makes it a fearsome sword.

If BG3 players want to wield this blade, they can with this Frostmourne weapon mod. Players won’t have the same abilities the Lich King does, but the cool aesthetics of Frostmourne are reason enough to download this weapon mod.

5 Thor – God of Thunder

Those Who are Worthy Can Wield Thor’s Legendary Axe

MCU Thor wielding Mjolnir and Strombreaker

The Thor – God of Thunder mod offers fans of the Marvel movies a way to incorporate their love of Thor into their Baldur’s Gate 3 gameplay. With this mod, gamers are free to use Mjolnir and Stormbreaker, two iconic weapons that Thor has wielded in the MCU.

If players want to wield the axe like the God of Thunder himself, they only need to download the mod, visit the trader in the Druid’s Grove, and play a character who is proficient with two-handed weapons. Then, they can get to cleaving their foes in half.

4 Finesse Weapons Extended

Classes Who Are Only Able to Wield Finesse Weapons Now Have More Options

Baldur's Gate 3 the Chaotic Evil Astarion in a Padded Armor

Weapon properties are one of the mechanics D&D players should familiarize themselves with first. Classes and weapon properties correlate, as not every class can wield every weapon. As such, players might find themselves locked out of wielding weapons with their full potential depending on what they choose to play. This can limit the weapon options available to them.

This is where the Finesse Weapons Extended mod comes into play. It adds the Finesse tag to weapons that don’t have it in vanilla BG3. Now, Rogues and the like will have more weapons to choose from.

3 Blades of Chaos

Become Kratos with his Legendary Dual Blades

Kratos in front of burning city

Fans of God of War will recognize the title of this mod, and it is exactly what it sounds like. The Blades of Chaos mod adds the two legendary blades wielded by Kratos in earlier God of War titles into Baldur’s Gate 3.

The God of War franchise features some pretty amazing weapons. But these stand alone as the most powerful.

These legendary weapons are treated as shortswords with the Finesse property. They deal far more damage than ordinary shortswords and apply additional fire damage when they hit a creature. This makes this mod not only an homage to another fantastic game but also a great pair of dual-wieldable weapons.

2 Amakuni Katana

Multiple Katanas Allow Anyone to Become a Samurai

Baldur's Gate 3 Tav wieding katana

While Larian has filled the world of Faerun with many different types of weapons so that nobody is left wanting, there are still some types of weapons that are missing from the game, such as katanas. While an argument could be made that they don’t fit into the game’s world, one must acknowledge that there are tentacle-faced monsters and fire-breathing dragons at play. The sight of someone wielding a katana is hardly going to be immersion-breaking.

So, for anyone who wants to cut down their enemies like a Samurai, the Amakuni Katana mod is here to help. This mod adds a total of four katanas to the game, two Finesse Light and two Versatile. This allows players to equip any character they wish with a katana, allowing them to adventure with some stylish flair.

1 Shieldless Staves

Staves Now Protect Casters with a Bonus to AC

Baldur's Gate 3 Shadowheart

Players who find the aesthetic of shields unpleasant but enjoy the AC buff might see no way out of this predicament. However, the modding community is here to save the day with the Shieldless Staves mod.

This mod makes shields totally unnecessary for casters by buffing the staves or quarterstaffs they might wield. It turns them into two-handed weapons that also offer an additional 2-3 to the wielder’s AC. Now, Shadowheart no longer has to wield any unsightly shields.
