Best Amazon deals of the day: Beats Solo 4, Shark Speedstyle, Sonos Ray and more

Amazon's Prime Big Deal Days shopping event (aka October Prime Day) has arrived. However, contracts are still pending. It's no surprise, really. Amazon is notorious for making its shopping events month-long extravaganzas – unofficially, of course. If you missed out on the actual two-day Prime celebration, we've rounded up some of the best deals you can still shop below.

Here are our top picks for Amazon deals on October 11.

Our top pick

The Beats Solo 4 has seen a few discounts since it was released earlier this year, but nothing as big as the 50% price drop they received on Prime Day. The savings are stuck following the shopping event, so you can still pick up a pair for an all-time low price of $99.99 on Amazon. The Solo 4s improves on the previous generation with upgraded drivers, retuned acoustics and improved frequency response. They also have better battery life, around 50 hours (10 extra hours compared to their predecessor). Their only downside is that they lack noise-canceling technology. Still, at under $100, we're willing to look into it.

Another post-Prime Day deal is this $50 off Shark Speedstyle. The Shark Hair Dryer offers four heat and three ventilation settings, includes some links for customization, is light as a feather and regulates temperature 1,000 times per second. It's already made a name for itself with the possible fake-outrageous price of the Dyson Supersonic Dryer. This particular model is designed for both straight and wavy hair, meaning it includes QuickSmooth Brush, RapidGloss Finisher and Turbo Concentrator attachments. Save 25% on sale for $149.99.

Our new iteration of our favorite portable Bluetooth speaker, the JBL Clip 5, is on sale for just $59.95 instead of $79.95. Note that this is 25% off (which is never the case) after Prime Day, but it only covers the purple model. The simplest definition of a handheld tool, the Clip 5 can “clip” to any bag, belt loop or keyring with its built-in carabiner, which has been redesigned with a wider opening. Don't write it off because of its size. It has a 12-hour battery life, a “Playtime Boost” mode that gives you an extra 3 hours of listening time, an IP67 waterproof and dust-proof rating, and impressively loud and crisp sound.

If your TV's sound system can't live up to its picture, it's time to add a soundbar. The Sonos Ray is our favorite starter soundbar and is on sale at its lowest price on Amazon in the days following the Prime Big Deal. Low-profile and budget-friendly, the Ray “provides a basic requirement of any speaker: true, quality sound,” says Mashable reviewer Han Schneider. It might not have a ton of extra features (no Bluetooth connectivity, HDMI hookup, or smart home compatibility), but its extremely low price tag certainly makes up for it. Regularly $279, it's only $169 through October 11.

Mashable Deals

Whether you're looking for a tablet for your teen or something you can take on the go, the Fire 7 tablet is on sale for under $50. That's 38% off and the lowest price on record for the 32GB version. This is one of the only Amazon device deals that will still be around after Prime Day. The Fire 7 isn't going to throw you off or anything. As senior shopping reporter Haley Henschel puts it, it's a “deeply average tablet”. Still, at $49.99 it's hard to beat.
