Barcelona clearly outclassed Real Madrid's Santiago Bernabeu in a brilliant El Clasico and extended their lead at the top of the table. Meanwhile, in the Bundesliga, Bayer Leverkusen and Borussia Dortmund have both made mistakes while Haaland has improved his impressive goalscoring rate.

Real Madrid-Barcelona 0:4

What a great performance from FC Barcelona! The Catalan fans couldn't believe their eyes, even though Hansi Flick's team was in excellent form this season and beat Bayern Munich 4-1 in the Champions League a few days ago. But El Clasico is another story. So Barcelona played as an outsider against Real Madrid, who was extremely strong at home.

But FC Barcelona never seemed to be like that. A great match unfolded from the start and one could easily talk about the open encounter. Both teams had good chances but the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius missed Madrid's chances. Nearly half an hour later, the home side were celebrating – only Mbappe had been offside just before his brilliant lob. At halftime, the score was still 0-0.

It didn't take long for Barcelona to turn their slight advantage into a lead. Robert Lewandowski stunned the home side with two goals at the Santiago Bernabeu. After receiving a fantastic pass from 21-year-old Marc Casado, he suddenly found himself alone with Real Madrid goalkeeper Andre, who was replacing the injured Thibaut Courtois. In front of Andrij Lunin, the shot went into the flat corner. He also scored with a header shortly after.

However, Real Madrid did not give up and got a good opportunity again. But Mbappe missed another great chance before Jude Bellingham was denied by Barca's brilliant goalkeeper Inaki Pena and the French forward had another goal ruled out for offside. The Royals came too close to the goal a total of twelve times.

Madrid's resistance was broken when Lamine Yamal scored in the 77th minute. Seven minutes later, Bayern Schreck scored with a lob, 4-0, completing the embarrassment of the archenemy. With their tenth victory in just 11 games of the season, Barcelona extended their lead over rivals Real Madrid in La Liga to six points.

Bundesliga

Bremen-Leverkusen 2:2

Like Brest in the Champions League, Leverkusen couldn't get beyond a draw in the Bundesliga. Despite leading twice, coach Xavi Alonso's side managed just one point at Werder Bremen. In the 90th minute, Romano Schmid's goal shocked the Weserstadion, 2-2. About a quarter of an hour earlier, Werder Bremen's Felix Agu ensured Leverkusen were in front again with an own goal just minutes after Marvin Daksh's equalizer.

For Granit Xhaka, who played the entire match, it was the fourth draw in the past six games. Germany's reigning champions and cup winners are already five points behind leaders Leipzig.

Augsburg – Dortmund 2:1

Dortmund still cannot find the consistency needed to be a top team. Despite getting off to a good start with Donyell Malen's first goal in the fourth minute, goalkeeper Gregor Kerber and his Borussia Dortmund side had to admit defeat at Augsburg. Alexis Claude Maurice's brace shocked head coach Nouri Shaheen's side just as they did on Tuesday as they squandered their lead against Real Madrid in the Champions League (2 -0 to 2-5).

Dortmund's defense was poor on both goals. First, Nico Schlotterback was unavailable for the duel with Claude Maurice, but the 26-year-old Frenchman then scored the winning goal from Emre Can. Dortmund has currently alternated wins and losses in six games in the Bundesliga, with 13 points from eight games. Dortmund is only ranked seventh.

Stuttgart-Kiel 2:1

Stuttgart can still win in the Bundesliga. After three games without a win, Swabia, with Fabian Riedel starting, defeated newly promoted Kielholstein. But even facing the North Germans, who had never won before, Stuttgart still had to tremble in the final stage. That came as Julian Chabot saw yellow and red just after the hour mark, with Armin Gigovic scoring in the 84th minute. Soon after, Kiel striker Jan-Feet Arp was kicked off the pitch.

However, Stuttgart could no longer be beaten at 10 v 10, which is why goals from Deniz Udav and El-Bilal Toure were enough to get them to the top of the Bundesliga for the season. The third victory. It was an important win for coach Sebastian Hoeness' side, who have moved up to eighth after a cautious start to the season. During the week, Stuttgart defeated Juventus 1-0 away from home.

British stone. St. Pauli – Wolfsburg 0:0

St. Pauli and Wolfsburg were the only Bundesliga sides to keep scoreless on Saturday afternoon. The result didn't really help either team. Hamburg missed the chance to escape the relegation zone, while Wolfsburg remained in the bottom third of the table. Both St. Pauli and the visiting team had chances to equalize the score, but in the end the efficiency was too low.

Leipzig VS Freiburg 3:1

After losing 0-1 to Liverpool in the Champions League, Leipzig won four consecutive Bundesliga games. Head coach Marco Rose's side still trailed at half-time after Freiburg's Dogan scored, but Leipzig rallied with goals from defenders Willy Orban and Lutsaal Giltruida. The ball turned the tables in the 58th minute. In the final period, Luis Openda also scored, making the final score 3-1.

Premier League

Manchester City-Southampton 1:0

The champions remain unbeaten in their 14th game of the season. In the 9th round of the Premier League, Manchester City, where Akanji started again, only narrowly defeated newly promoted Southampton. However, victory was never really in danger – Southampton only had one shot on target after Erling Haaland opened the scoring in the fifth minute. For the Norwegian, who scored two goals in the Champions League this week, this is already his eleventh league goal of the season.

Brighton-Wolves 2:2

A tragic end for Brighton Hove & Albion and their coach Fabian Hürzeler (whose father is Swiss). Despite leading 2-0 with goals from Danny Welbeck and Evan Ferguson, the Seagulls managed just one point. Wolves, who are at the bottom of the table, drew 2-2 thanks to goals from Rayan Ait Nouri in the 88th minute and Mathews Cunha in the 93rd minute. This means Brighton will miss out on a Champions League spot.

Aston Villa also had to settle for a late equalizer. In Birmingham, the goal didn't materialize until the 96th minute: after a free kick, Evan Nelson headed home to give Bournemouth a 1-1 lead and shock Unai Emery's side. Villa, who qualified for the Champions League for the first time last season by finishing fourth, are in third place at least until Sunday, with only Arsenal, who host Liverpool, able to advance in this game.

Serie A

Naples-Lecce 1:0

Napoli still tops Serie A. That was already evident after the 1-0 win over Lecce, with Inter Milan and Juventus leading the way on Sunday by five and six points respectively. Despite the clear advantage, Giovanni Di Lorenzo's goal in the 73rd minute was the only goal of the game. In the first half, the right back's goal was disallowed due to offside.

Head coach Antonio Conte's side are currently unbeaten in nine games, conceding only points in a 0-0 draw with Juventus in Turin.
