EV Zug are losing one of their best young players. National team forward Attilio Biasca (21) will move to Friborg-Gautron next season.
The current situation is quite volatile. HC Fribourg-Gottéron is going through a difficult period of change. At least there is a glimmer of hope for the future: sporting director Gerd Zenhäuser managed to lure one of Switzerland's most talented young forwards from EV Zug: Attilio Biasca . Trained in Zug, returned to his hometown after two years at the highest level of youth training in North America, and has now grown into a national forward. After the season, he moved to Gotron for at least two years.
The data may not be amazing (21 games this season, 4 goals, 2 assists, 14 minutes and 22 seconds of playing time). But Biasca is one of the most outspoken, agile and brave young Swiss forwards. The coaches in the weight room have to slow him down.

Although he was not included in the NHL draft, he is still in the St. Louis Blues rookie camp in the fall of 2023, and the NHL dream is far from over. One NHL scout described him as a “tank” in a report:
«Biazca is a tank. Even when he tries to play smarter, he still crushes his opponents. He challenges defenders every chance he gets, using his speed to push them away or outrun them. He uses his straight-line speed, strength in one-on-one situations, and shooting to consistently create scoring opportunities on the run. “
The words are beautiful and praised a lot. Fact: Attilio Biasca always outstrips his opponents, and when he tries to get past them, his speed can leave defenders stranded or off-balance. With his power and directness, he creates scoring opportunities for himself or his teammates.
Biasca is far from reaching his potential as a sharp, fearless power forward. His style is a perfect fit for Gottron's fiery culture, in the tradition of Jean-Charles Rotzetter, Rudolf Raemy and “Köbu” Lüdi.
