It is rumored that Hexe‘s protagonist will have “strong feminine energy,” according to a comment on a late 2023 LinkedIn post made by Yara Tabbara, a talent acquisition specialist for Ubisoft Montreal. When a user commented on the post, “My hype for this game cannot be overstated. I hope it has some strong feminine energy,” Yara replied, “In MANY ways, it DOES.” If the implications are true, Hexe will likely feature a female protagonist, and she could very well be one of the “witches” being hunted.

Another rumor about Assassin’s Creed Hexe‘s protagonist indicates that her name could be Elsa, which would be an appropriate name, as the name Elsa has German origins. Additionally, Elsa means “God is my oath,” which would also make sense, as Hexe‘s rumored period and setting were characterized by religious and spiritual turmoil.
