We live in an age where online games won’t work 100 percent of the time. No matter how popular they are, the internet is usually never consistent.
Modern Warfare 3 has been hit with several internet-related issues since its launch, such as the Zombies progression bug. However, if you want to know if the Call of Duty servers are down, you’ve come to the right place.
Call of Duty: Are the servers down?
Thankfully, there’s a one-stop shop to check the current status of Call of Duty’s servers. At the time of writing this piece, both Modern Warfare 3 and Warzone seem to be up and running, so you shouldn’t have many problems getting into either. However, be warned since the launch of Season 1 of Modern Warfare 3 is near, you should expect issues to pop up. This is because there may be a large influx of players jumping in at one time.

No matter how prepared Sledgehammer and Activision are, the servers will always have their own agenda.
How to fix connectivity issues
Even if the servers are up on Activision’s end, you may not be able to access Modern Warfare 3. This has happened to me several times, but thankfully, it’s an easy fix if you do the following:
- Check your internet or reset it because sometimes, your router may be the sole issue. By resetting it, you’re giving the router a fresh start.
- If you use a wireless connection, the link going from the router to your computer or console may be weak. This is something that I had problems with, but connecting it via ethernet cable, my internet issues seem to have dropped for the most part.
- Sometimes certain modes like Zombies will have problems that might not impact the whole game. If this happens to you, try a different mode to see if it’s isolated.
