Within its fully open world, you can build up a character, explore treacherous terrain, and take on mighty bosses for even mightier loot. Like most fantasy worlds, it also has a robust Gold-based economy. If you want to boost your funds, then selling off some Restless Fragments is a great way to do so. This guide will show you how.

Arcane Lineage Restless Fragment Guide

What Are Restless Fragments?
Restless Fragments are Items in Arcane Lineage. While they have no real functionality, in or out of combat, they can be sold for a large amount of Gold relative to other Items. On Normal difficulty, they sell for 150 Gold apiece, while on Legendary difficulty that figure rises to 300. This means that cashing in just a couple of these will give you the Gold necessary to purchase expensive Blacksteel equipment or learn high-level Skills from your Class Trainer.
Restless Fragments are also required to complete one of the game’s quests, Fragment Research. You can take on this quest at the Guild Clerk in the Old Ruins. It requires you to collect 4 Restless Fragments and bring them back. Once complete, you’ll receive 650 Gold and 240 Essence as a reward.
Where Can You Get Restless Fragments?
There are two ways to get your hands on Restless Fragments:
- As drops from Stray Sandstorm enemies – Stray Sandstorms are enemies found in the Scorching Desert area of the map. They have a chance to drop Restless Fragments as loot after you defeat them in battle. They have 65 HP and are weak to Physical attacks, so bring your best weapons if you’re planning to farm them.
- Purchased from the Mysterious Merchant – When in Caldera Town, the Mysterious Merchant will sometimes have Restless Fragments in his inventory. He sells them for 162 Gold each, or 378 on Legendary difficulty. You’ll make a loss if you re-sell Fragments bought this way, so you’re better off farming for them if you’re aiming to make some Gold. If you’re just trying to complete the Fragment Research quest, getting Restless Fragments this way can be a valid strategy.
