  • Puzzles, platforming and more!

Apple Arcade’s next monthly update drops May 2nd, and we’ve gotten the news on what’s being added in the latest round of games. From the start of next month Apple Arcade subscribers can enjoy: A Slight Chance of Sawblades+ by Yong Kian Chin, Dicey Dungeons+ by Distractionware and Summer Pop+ by Happy Elements as these games make the jump to the service.

Let’s dig into what these new games offer:

What’s new on Apple Arcade?

  • A Slight Chance of Sawblades+: A retro 2D platform game which gives us flashbacks to Super Meat Boy. You have to dodge deadly sawblades as a variety of characters in this simple but challenging title. Unlock new characters, dodge sawblades and other obstacles to build up your score.
  • Dicey Dungeons+: Another deckbuilding roguelike? Well, if you like collecting dice and building new attacks, Dicey Dungeons with its exploring, combat and action might be what pulls you in. Beat lady luck by combining dice with new attacks to boost their power and collect upgrades for better runs.
  • Summer Pop+: A solid match-three game challenging you to solve puzzles, with cutesy art and characters. Offers more besides, and a solid addition to the many puzzle games on Arcade already. But if you’re looking for something other than Candy Crush, Summer Pop can offer what you’re hungry for.

In addition, Game Room will be seeing the addition of Checkers to its lineup of VR/AR minigames, Hello Kitty Island Adventures introduces the Imagination Celebration in-game event and Sonic Dream Team gets brand new stages for you to enjoy.
