SAVE $50: The Apple AirPods (2nd generation) are on sale for only $79.99 at Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart as of June 12. That’s 38% off their $129 MSRP and an all-time low price.
Apple’s second-generation AirPods have returned to their lowest price on record for only the second time this year.
At the time of writing, major retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Target, and Walmart had the AirPods 2 marked down from $129 to $79.99. (Note that Best Buy also throws in free trials of Apple TV+, Apple Fitness+, and Apple Arcade.) I’m hoping to be proven wrong, but at nearly $50 off — a 38% savings — it’s difficult to imagine them getting any cheaper even during this summer’s big savings events, including next week’s Walmart+ Week sale and next month’s Amazon Prime Day festivities.
The AirPods Max are $100 off once again
An early 2019 release, the AirPods 2 are the most basic wireless earbuds Apple sells, offering up to five hours of battery life per charge and no noise cancellation. (Opt for the AirPods Pro if you need that feature.) They support hands-free Siri and come with a wired charging case that extends their listening time by up to 24 hours.

We’ve gotten newer AirPods since these dropped way back when, but they remain our favorite non-noise canceling pick simply because of how affordable they are. (Now more than ever!) While the newer third-gen AirPods launched in 2021 have an updated look, improved sound, and an extra hour of battery life sans case, they also cost $169, and “there’s no reason” to spend that much on ANC-free earbuds in this day and age, said Bethany Allard, lead shopping reporter at Mashable.
