Level Infinite have announced their free-to-play looter shooter SYNCED will be shut down later this year.
SYNCED will be shut down on September 9, 2024. This termination will occur just one year, nearly to the date, from when the game initially launched back in 2023.
As of this announcement, microtransactions as well as the ability to create new accounts have been halted. By the game’s termination date, players will be unable to play or even download SYNCED.
For those who are still playing the game, this news might not come as that big of a surprise. The game hasn’t received a major update since March earlier this year. So that lack of content and low player count spelt out this game’s fate.
For now, SYNCED is still available for PC (via Steam). The game was expected to get PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S ports, which have effectively been canceled alongside this announcement.
