Anti-Trump Republican Women Pressure Kamala Harris to Call Trump 'Depraved' and 'The Person with the Lowest Moral Character I've Ever Worked for'

The country's four most prominent anti-Trump Republican women appeared on stage together for the first time Wednesday night in an attempt to push undecided voters into Vice President Kamala Harris' corner.

Former Rep. Liz Cheney was joined by former Trump administration officials Alyssa Farah Griffin, who is now on The View's Cassidy Hutchinson, known for her eye-popping Jan. 6 testimony, and Sarah Matthews, an outspoken deputy press secretary.

Cheney joined Harris on the campaign trail for the first time on Thursday in Ripon, Wisconsin — the birthplace of the Republican Party — which is also in a key swing state.

On Wednesday, the four women were in the suburbs of Philadelphia, a major swinger area in Pennsylvania's most important swing state.

Women issued stark warnings about a second Trump term and expressed disappointment that so few Republicans — especially so few men — were reaching across the aisle to support Harris.

“Ultimately, for undecided voters, the real question is whether you are willing to risk putting the power of the most powerful office in the country and the entire world in the hands of someone who is depraved,” Cheney told the crowd.

Griffin, who interviewed Harris Tuesday on The View, left his White House role in December 2020.

She explained to the audience that she did so “because I felt uncomfortable with the lies about the election.”

She was among the Trump staffers who texted White House chief of staff Mark Meadows for the then-president to call out the mob during the Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol.

Although she called Jan. 6 a “horrible day,” she added, “that was just kind of a summary of who Donald Trump the man is.”

“He is the lowest moral character I have ever worked for,” she said.

Griffin then warned what could be expected in a second term.

“In the first term there were people like Vice President Pence – a flawed actor – but someone who I really think tried to guide him on the right path and keep him focused and within the bounds of the Constitution,” she said.

She said this type of person would not be welcome in the second round.

“They don't want Ronald Reagan Republicans, they want Tucker Carlson Republicans, so buckle up, boys,” Griffin said.

Hutchinson became a public figure after testifying in June 2022 before the January 6 House committee.

She told the panel that when Trump discovered that Attorney General Bill Barr had told the Associated Press that there was no evidence of widespread fraud in the 2020 election, the then-president threw his lunch at the wall.

Hutchinson testified that he entered the White House dining room and “noticed that there was ketchup dripping down the wall.” And there's a broken china plate on the floor.

She was also the source of testimony that said Trump had a fight in the car with his Secret Service detail over not being allowed to go to the US Capitol on January 6.

For this testimony, Trump publicly attacked her, calling her “totally false” and “bad news”.

Cassidy Hutchinson testified that former President Donald Trump threw his lunch at the wall and had an accident in his car when the Secret Service refused to take him to the US Capitol on January 6.

Cassidy Hutchinson spoke out about how

Cassidy Hutchinson spoke out about how “scary” and “scary” the reaction was after she testified against former President Donald Trump at the House committee on January 6. ''But what scares me most is the possibility of a second Trump term,'' she said Wednesday.

She noted that the backlash “can sometimes be scary, it can be scary” and said that “people have their reasons for not wanting to be more expressive.”

“And without knowing their personal reasons, I don’t feel comfortable punishing them or trying to shame them for their decision,” Hutchinson said.

“But what scares me most is the possibility of a second Trump term and knowing that I may not have done everything I could have done to ensure he never approaches the Oval Office again,” she continued.

“And the closest he gets to the Oval Office is Joseph Prettyman's courtroom when he goes there for the trial,” she said, to applause.

Matthews has been on TV arguing that Republicans should set aside politics in favor of the Constitution.

'Donald Trump has shown he will not defend him. We can't trust him to defend it. And I don't want to put someone like that back in the Oval Office. He doesn’t deserve to come close to that, and that’s why I’m voting for Kamala Harris,” Matthews said.

Griffin then argued that Trump is not a traditional conservative in terms of politics anyway.

“I would also say that Donald Trump has betrayed what it means to be a conservative,” she said. “He's not running on the basis of what made all of us Republicans.”

“Whether it’s blocking a border security bill that would have secured the border, whether it’s betraying our allies by not supporting Ukraine, or giving in to China by backing down on a TikTok bank, there are plenty of examples,” Griffin said. 'Wanting to implement tariffs that will be a recessive tax on consumers.'

“So you can definitely leave politics aside because he's not running as a Republican,” The View co-host argued.
