A variant of the RX 7900 XT has seen its price cut to just $699, a huge 20% cut from its $849 MSRP, and snips at the price of Nvidia’s newly released Supers.

We’d recently seen how AMD had stormed Nvidia’s Super launch party with a temporary price cut to the RX 7900 XT, though Team Red has only gone and made things more competitive with an even better discount than before. It’s available through Newegg currently, and doesn’t look like it’s going to make its way to Amazon or Best Buy just yet.

SAPPHIRE NITRO+ & PULSE AMD Radeon™ RX 7900 Series are designed with digital power which provides accurate power control and excellent power efficiency.

Nvidia recently launched its RTX 40-series Super graphics cards, which included a refresh of the RTX 4070 line, alongside the RTX 4080 Super. As this happened AMD also released the RX 7600 XT. While it didn’t offer much competition to the Supers, the continuous price cuts to Radeon graphics cards kept the pressure up.

Now though, there’s even less reason to consider Nvidia’s GPUs when you can pick up AMD Radeon graphics cards at a much more affordable price. You can read our comparison of the RTX 4070 Ti Super vs RX 7900 XT here, though with the 20% discount there’s almost nothing to think about.

We’d imagine that the Sapphire Pulse RX 7900 XT won’t be priced this affordably for long. If stocks aren’t gobbled up quickly, it’s unlikely that the brand will keep the discount live for too long.

The particular model sports a triple-fan mechanism on top of a sleek design. If you’re unable to pick it up at this price, it’s still worth considering anywhere between $700-$800, though as you edge closer to the higher end of the price bracket, the RTX 4080 Super starts to become a little more relevant.
