While interacting with NPCs, you will get an option to give them a gift. Items that have a heart beside them indicate that the gift will be loved by the person receiving them which in turn increases the bond.

Veiled Vow

Players can improve their bond by partaking in Bond missions, giving gifts, and agreeing with them. Eventually, after their Favor has reached a certain point, they will be able to romance the character using the Veiled Vow feature.

Fateful Encounter

Acheived your first Level 4 Personal Bond

This will be automatically unlocked as part of the Veiled Vow trophy.

Home Sweet Home

Acheived your first Level 4 Area Bond

Players can increase Area Bond by finding collectibles and doing Chance encounters. Raising Veiled Edge Banners is a pretty efficient way to raise Area Bonds fast.

This can be completed in conjunction with Home Sweet Home. To unlock this, players will need to complete all activities in a given area.

Upgraded your armor, weapon, and sub-weapon

Head to a nearby blacksmith using the map and then interact with him to get the upgrade option. You need to upgrade armor, weapons, and sub-weapons to unlock the trophy.

Transfer of Power

Using bond transfer, players can transfer special effects. This can be done via the Blacksmith using the Bond Transfer option.

Equipment in the game is associated with a set. There are 10 total sets in the game. Head to the Equipment tab and you will find the set bonus for each piece of equipment written in gold. Equip four such items belonging to the same set bonus.

Remodeled your longhouse for the first time

To remodel your longhouse, head to it and choose the remodel option under housekeeping. You will be able to decorate your longhouse, and once that’s done the trophy will unlock.

Traveling through Time

Retried a mission for the first time using the Testament of Soul

From the Longhouse menu, choose the Testament of Soul option to replay any mission. This will be unlocked after reaching Edo.

Striver’s License

Bronze

Received the highest rank (Master) at the dojo

Head to the Dojo on the map and speak with the master to start training. Beat a character with more than 7,000 points to get the trophy. This needs to be done as quickly as possible, and you should take as little damage as you can.

Horseback Hero

Bronze

Received the highest rank (Master) in horseback archery

Head to the horseback archery location on the map and start the training. Hit all targets and finish the race to unlock the trophy.

Winged Warrior

Received the highest rank (Master) in gliding training

Head to the gliding training location and hit all the targets while gliding to achieve this trophy.

Firearm Genius

Bronze

Received the highest rank (Master) in firearms training

Head to the firearm training location and hit the wooden and metal targets to score points. There is also a timer which you need to be wary of, so hitting as many targets as possible within the given time should help you get the trophy.

Cheater Beater

Bronze

Caught 5 cheaters wile playing Odds and Evens

Head to the gambling den and play a game of Odds and Evens. You will get a prompt to “Tell on him” when your opponent is cheating. Select it five times to unlock the trophy.

Style Guru

Mastered three combat styles

A Jack of One Trade is a Master of All

Bronze

Mastered one of the four stat types

For every mission you complete, you get Normal Skill Points. To get Rare Skill Points, you can complete side quests, bank karma and strengthen bonds. You need to use these points to max out one of the four skill trees in the game.

Collect Foreign Books by completing regions, through chests, or via Gambling Dens. Give them to Igashichi Iizuka to conduct technology development.

This should most likely be acquired as part of the main story, but if you haven’t approach enemies stealthily and press the Triangle button to assassinate them.

Keeper of the Peace

Defeated 50 Fugitives

Fugitives can be found on the map with a ‘=’ symbol and players need to defeat 50 of them to get the trophy.

Chance encounters are randomly occurring side missions that pop up in the world. Players should encounter them quite frequently in their playthrough and there is no designated location for them.

The best way to earn this trophy is by selling unused equipment.

Well-rounded Ronin

Reached Level 55

Players should be able to get this trophy while completing the other trophies, but the trick is to complete the main missions first and then take part in side activities to get more XP.

Friendly Neighborhood Ronin

Completed all Bond missions

Bond missions can be accessed from the Missions tab in the menu. If a bond mission is missed players can use the Testament of the Soul option to get it.

Social Climber

Silver

Took part in missions with all available allies

Unlock all 32 allies in the game and then use the Testament of Soul option to replay a mission with each of the allies to complete this. Doing missions with two allies is recommended for this trophy.

Martial Arts Maniac

Defeated enemies using every weapon

There are 9 weapon types in the game and players need to defeat enemies using each of these types.

Completed a mission without allies

Simply complete a mission without choosing an ally to complete this.

Life Saver

Completed a No-Kill Mission’s objectives

Players can get this trophy by completing “In Search of New Knowledge” by Yukichi Fukuzawa or “Ine’s Worries” by Ine Kusumoto. Players need to use their fists to fight in these missions.

Tears of a Blue Demon

Silver

Managed to beat the Blue Demon aboard the Black Ship

This is a very difficult boss to defeat this boss the first time it is encountered, so players should attempt it again towards the end of the game using Testament of the Soul.

Midnight Crossing

Gold

Completed an optional Ronin mission with the “Midnight” difficulty setting enabled.

The Midnight difficulty unlocks after completing the game. Use Testament of the Soul to replay a mission in the Midnight difficulty level.

The Greater Opportunity

Saved Shinsaku Taksugi’s life

Complete Try Your Luck, Something to Believe In, and Where There’s a Will and give gifts to Shinsaku Takasugi to reach Bond Level 4. This will allow you to do the final bond mission with him and save his life.

Farewell, Black Cat

Saved Okita’s life

Complete The “Supreme Swordsman” and “A Moment of Brilliance” to get this trophy.

Twilight Fencer

Saved Ryoma Sakamoto’s life

There are 5 total Bond Missions that need to be completed. These are “The Men from Tosa”, “The Two Apprentices”, “A House Divided” and “The Ties that Bind”, which need to be completed before “Omi Inn Incident.” This would ensure that he is alive, giving players the final Bond Mission “Crossroads of Dawn.”
