Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Get Poultry

It’s important to unlock Poultry as it’s the main ingredient for various recipes in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Updated on December 17, 2023, by Nahda Nabiilah: With the release of Disney Dreamlight Valley: A Rift in Time, there are three critters added to the long list of creatures in the game. The said critters are Monkeys, Cobras, and Capybaras. Each of them has its own schedule, favorite food, and special rewards they give players upon eating food they like. While exploring Eternity Isle, Dreamers likely encountered one of these three critters and might be confused about how to approach them and what to feed them. If players wish to have one of these creatures as a companion, then it’s essential to offer one of the available liked foods, otherwise the critter will run away.

some 5 star recipes in disney dreamlight valley

  • 5-Star Recipes are numerous in Disney Dreamlight Valley and their ingredients vary in rarity. Dreamers don’t have to find the rarest meal and feed it to Ravens or Monkeys. Most of these dishes give an insane amount of Energy, which is more beneficial to the players than the critter. So a simple 5-Star will get the job done. On a side note, feeding Ravens other rarities does work, but the critters won’t reward anything since it’s not their favorite food. As for Monkeys, they wouldn’t mind a 4-Star meal. Here’s a complete list of all available 5-Star recipes from both Dreamlight Valley and Eternity Isle.

Disney Dreamlight Valley: Royal Hourglass Tool Complete Guide

The Royal Hourglass tool is an essential asset for every player who wish to search for treasures in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Squirrel

squirrel in disney dreamlight valley

Squirrels are friendly creatures that will interact with players first. If, by any chance, they run away, it means that they’ve been fed before on the same day.

Bunny

bunny in disney dreamlight valley

Bunnies are skittish creatures but are still reasonably easy to approach. They’ll run away upon seeing the players, so keep chasing them until they stop and become approachable.

Sea Turtle

sea turtle in disney dreamlight valley

The moment Saviors come close to a Sea Turtle, it will hide in its shell. Just wait until the turtle comes out to give it the food.

Raccoon

raccoon in disney dreamlight valley

It’s a bit difficult to approach a Raccoon since it’s a very sketchy critter. The best method is to walk towards it slowly while its head is down. Take slow, steady steps and stop once the Raccoon becomes alerted. Repeat the same steps until the Approach option is available.

Fox

fox in disney dreamlight valley

Just like Bunnies, Foxes love a good chase. Follow them around and then interact once they stop.

Crocodile

crocodile in disney dreamlight valley

Use the same method as Raccoons for the Crocodiles; slow, steady steps when the head is down and stop when they become alerted.

Sunbird

sunbird in disney dreamlight valley

These lovely critters are very approachable, very much like the Squirrels.

Raven

happy raven in disney dreamlight valley

Luckily, Ravens are very easy to approach as players just need to stand still, and the critter will fly in circles above them then descend slowly and wait. Pick any 5-Star recipe and present it to the birds. As players might notice, there are a variety of Ravens that exist in the Forgotten Lands. Not all types and colors can be found on the same day as each has its own schedule. Dreamers who wish to collect every color and make it a companion need to cook a decent amount of 5-Star meals and must visit the Forgotten Lands at these specific times:

Raven

Schedule

Blue Raven

  • Tuesday, Thursday, Friday (all day)
  • Sunday (12 AM – 12 PM)

Brown Raven

Classic Raven

  • Monday, Thursday, Saturday (all day)
  • Sunday (12 PM – 12 AM)

Red Raven

  • Monday, Wednesday, Friday (all day)
  • Sunday (12 AM- 12 PM)

White Raven

  • Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday (all day)
  • Sunday (12 PM – 12 AM)

Monkeydisney-dreamlight-valley-a-new-directive2

Monkeys are playful creatures by nature and catching them requires playing a longer game of tag. While Bunnies and Foxes are somewhat easy to approach, Monkeys must be followed around seven or eight times until they are approachable. Although 5-Star meals are the critter’s favorite, 4-Star meals are also acceptable.

CobrasCobras enjoying eggs in Disney Dreamlight Valley.

Similar to Raccoons and Crocodiles, Cobras will keep sticking their heads up and down and players must only approach the critter when the head is low. Other than Eggs, Cobras also like Scorpions.

Capybaras

ddv capybara favorite food

It’s extremely easy to feed a Capybara as the critter will approach players on its own. No game, no chase, and no tricks. If Dreamers are out of Cabbage, try Cinnamon or Bamboo.
