Akademiks and ATL Jacob got into a heated argument online that also dragged out names like Future, Drake and Lil Baby.

The Grammy-nominated hitmaker continued to reiterate the importance of producers in Hip Hop: “Niggas forget… the producer is just as important as the artist… that niggas would rap if every producer woke up and decided they deserved more points and bonuses and said nothing until they got it.” .
He then gave Akademiks another shot, tweeting, “N-gga has DJ in his name and talks more shit.. shut the fuck up fat bro.”
Ak responded by saying, “Did you hear what I said bro STFU and make a battery if you sell again every time you speak out of the side of your mouth and get verified.”

The controversial streamer then accused ATL Jacob of “gossiping” about his “Wait For U” collaborator Future during his interview with Ak's Off the record podcast last year.
“You either have amnesia or are just retarded,” he wrote. “Why don’t you ask why I’m not a DJ when you traveled 1,000 miles from Atlanta to New Jersey to sit in front of me like a little kid interviewing for a job… gossiping about the future and those niggas trying to impress me?”
The two continued to exchange threats, with Jacob declaring that he's not “afraid of no nigga tweeting from his computer,” while Ak referred to the producer as “a Metro Boomin wannabe.”
Jacob then challenged Akademiks to prove he talked about any rapper behind their back: “Fuck @Akademiks. I'll give you $250,000 in cash, show me gossiping about any of my bruddas' personal lives.
Despite repeatedly challenging the streamer to back up his claim, Akademiks only disclosed the supposed gossip later on his Rumble live stream.
“ATL Jacob, the gossiping bitch that he is, was in my studio wet as a motherfucker, looking like he was Celina Powell or Superhead,” he said.
“He told me that Gunna is going to die, he told me that Rick Ross lives in the neighborhood, [Lil] Baby, it's not like that, Future trying to hold back on some points and basically told me they don't play with Drake, but they had to put Drake [‘Wait For U’].”
The podcaster also said that Jacob claimed to have written choruses for Future and told him that Tems wouldn't release the “Wait For U” sample until Drake got involved.
ATL Jacob then called Akademiks during his live broadcast and the two argued for over 10 minutes, during which the producer threatened the media figure into a fight.
