ADELE has announced that she is postponing the remaining 10 shows of her Las Vegas residency.
The singer shared the news in an Instagram post while also revealing that she is struggling with her health.
“Sadly I have to take a beat and pause my Vegas residency,” the post read.
“I was sick at the end of my last leg and all the way through my break.
“I hadn’t quite gotten the chance to get back to health before shows resumed and now I’m sick again, and unfortunately it’s all taken a toll on my voice.
Adele, 35, said her doctor made the executive decision to save her vocal cords.
“And so on doctor’s orders, I have no choice but to rest thoroughly,” the post read.
The remaining five weeks of her residency have been postponed to a later date.
These include March 1, 2, 8, 9, 15, 16, 22, 23, 29, and 30.
“I love you, I’ll miss you like mad and I’m sorry for the inconvenience x,” she captioned her post.
More information will be available for ticket holders as soon as possible, per the post.
Fans rushed to the comments to share their well wishes for the British pop star.
“Grateful you are prioritizing your health! Love to you and yours!” one user wrote.
“After 80 shows you already deserve a rest,” said another.
“That angel voice has to be recovered, take care of yourself,” a third said.
PREVIOUS CANCELATION
This is not the first time Adele has canceled or postponed her Vegas residency.
In 2022, Adele posted a teary video on Instagram explaining that the highly-anticipated gigs would not be taking place as scheduled.
She said that she and her team “ran out of time” due to “delays and Covid.”
“I’m so sorry but my show ain’t ready,” she wrote at the time.
“We’ve tried absolutely everything that we can to pull it together in time and for it to be good enough for you but we’ve been absolutely destroyed by delivery delays and Covid.
“Half my crew, half my team, are down with Covid, they still are. It’s been impossible to finish the show.
“I can’t give you what I have right now and I’m gutted. I’m sorry it’s so last minute.”
Her residency, titled Weekends with Adele, began on November 18, 2023.
The singer performed her concerts at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Adele’s announcement about her health battle comes two weeks after she saw fan fury over sky-high ticket prices for her next residency.
She’s set to perform in Munich, Germany, in August, marking her first European gig since 2015.
The superstar will take the stage at Munich’s 80,000-capacity Messe Arena for 10 nights.
Some of the cheapest tickets available for those shows cost $356 (£281) and the price reached as high as $1,356 (£1,070) for a prime stage-side spot.
