Epic Games revealed the newest game that is free for a day on the Epic Games Store, and it’s Asobo Studio’s A Plague Tale: Innocence.
The game can be downloaded for free right now, and you have the usual 24 hours to grab it before it’s replaced by another, yet unknown, title. After that, it’ll go back to its $39.99 price.
Once you grab it, as for all of these daily giveaways, it’s yours to keep forever (or as long as the EGS is active, I suppose).
This is an especially attractive offer for those who have a PlayStation 5 as well, considering that the sequel, A Plague Tale: Requiem is among the games distributed at no additional cost this month to PlayStation Plus subscribers on all tiers.
The Epic Games Store has been very active in providing daily games at the affordable price of zero dollars to celebrate its Holiday Sale. By the promotion’s end, Epic plans to have given away 17 free games, some bigger, some smaller.
The list included Destiny 2 Legacy Collection, DNF Duel, Fallout 3 Game of the Year Edition, Ghostwire Tokyo, Cat Quest, Snakebird Complete, Saints Row, Ghoistrunner, and more.
Released in 2019 for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, A Plague Tale: Innocence has then been ported in 2021 for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch.
Of course, only the PC version is involved in this giveaway, so if you want it on any console, you’ll have to pay out of pocket.
If you’d like to read more, you can enjoy our review, which awarded the game with a solid 8 out of 10.
Its developer, Asobo Studio, is also well known for being behind the popular Microsoft Flight Simulator, which is certainly a very different proposition, alongside the upcoming Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024.
