XD Games is continuing the season of celebration with a brand new season launching for Torchlight: Infinite on December 28th. Twinightmare, a rather love-it-or-hate-it type of name, will feature new challenges and events, and will bring with it the tenth playable hero of the hit dungeon crawler.
Let’s get the bad news out of the way, you need to buy the Season Pass for the newest hero; Rosa the High Court Chariot. What you get for your money is a walking brick wall, as Rosa is a highly defense champion. Her Holy Domain Skill transforms her into an unstoppable chariot, steamrolling through foes and imparting on them a powerful curse.
Other characters aren’t being left out mind you, as four new skills are also landing. Lightning Beam, Whirlwind Blade, Harmonious Field, and the rather enticing-sounding Star Stalker will be available to add to your hero’s repertoire thanks to the game’s deep character builder.
During Twinightware, players can interact with Dream Lotuses spread across each map, which has a chance of unleashing Good Dreams. This spawns a host of monsters that, when defeated, drop huge rewards. The more times you do this, the higher chance you have of being ambushed by a Nightmare attack, massively challenging encounters for the best loot.
With this new season comes a fashionably late Winter Festival. There will be a new drop, Snowflakes, to farm, which can be exchanged for rewards such as exclusive Legendary Gear and Avatars. When you head to the Torchlight Hideout, you will also get that festive feeling as it is caked in snow and ice.
On top of all this, XD Games has tuned up various parts of its’ game for a smoother adventure. The Help Manual has had an overhaul to serve players better, the looting UX has a facelift, and you will be able to share character builds with other players much more easily.
Torchlight: Infinite is available to download now from the App Store and Google Play.
