A farm owned by Pelé for 38 years is for sale for 35 million reais in the city of Jugua, in the interior of São Paulo. The king of football, who died in 2022 at the age of 82, raised cattle, fish and pigs on a property in the Vale do Ribeira region called “Soseco”.
The farm is 130 kilometers from Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, where Pelé lived. It was acquired by Pelé at the end of the 1960s, 240 kilometers from São Paulo, 165 kilometers from Registry (SP).

What is the farm like?
Advertised for sale online, the property is surrounded by the Jugua River and has an area of 661.62 hectares. 370 hectares of livestock, banana and palm plantations.
The urbanized part of the property has 20 bedrooms, 8 of which are closets, and 20 bathrooms. There are three swimming pools, two chapels, a football field with changing rooms, a conference room, banquet and game rooms.
In total, the property consists of four locations, the first being Pele's residence and the main one. It will be sold furnished with six suites with air conditioning, living room, kitchen, balcony, pool and party room.
Other locations include the home of Pele's mother Edinho, Dio Jorge, Pele's brother Jair, known as Joga, a pig farm and 10 production sheds.
According to the announcement, the property could be sold through exchange for pieces worth R$ 40 million. In the north of Mato Grosso do Sul or in the southern areas of Mato Grosso, R$ 5 million in cash can be exchanged for the property.
