Nintendo Museum opening date

The Nintendo Museum Direct was held today, and it gave some information about what to expect for the venue – including the official opening date. Fans can look forward to the area opening its doors on October 2, 2024 in Kyoto, Japan.

Nintendo Museum will be an absolute treat for fans of the company’s games and more. Note that when you first enter, you’ll be given a card that comes with digital coins that can be used on activities. We’ve got more details about Nintendo Museum aside from just the opening date.

On the second floor, you’ll find products the Big N has come out with throughout its history – leading up to Switch. Exhibits will be on display for the Famicom (as well as the NES), products made for moving your body like Wii Fit, the evolution of the ? Block, evolution of graphics for various series like The Legend of Zelda, products from before Nintendo made games, and more.

On the first floor, there’s a giant screen on the floor where you can play the Japanese card game Hyakunin Isshu. There are other interactive experiences as well. These include the pitching machine Ultra Machine SP, Ultra Hand SP in which you’ll grab balls rolling down lanes and drop them into pipes, Love Tester SP to measure your Love Level with another person, the shooting game Zapper & Scope SP, an area where you can play games from Famicom up to Wii with a huge controller, Game & Watch SP in which you’ll play using your shadow, and an area in which you can play over 80 games from the NES to N64 eras.

Note that there will be other things to see at the museum as well. Visitors can play Hanafuda, participate in workshops where they can make their own Hanafuda cards, eat at the cafe and pick what goes on their hamburger, and stop by the stop which will be housing exclusive merchandise.
