For the past three months, the Helldivers 2 community has tried its hardest to avoid winning the Anti-Tank Mines. From choosing other Stratagems such as the Airburst Rocket Launcher to saving the children, players have always chosen the alternative option.

Now, it looks like Arrowhead Game Studios is determined to grant them to us and have set them as a reward if we fail the current Major Order with the unrealistic expectation that players will eradicate 1.5 billion enemies. This means that they will finally be able to give us the Mines, but that might not be a bad thing.

U/Goose313 took to the Helldivers 2 sub-Reddit to discuss the Anti-Tank Mines, noting that they were “OP against Cyborgs,” which were the predecessors to the Automatons and one of the factions of the first game.

Other players are also excited for their arrival, with U/ZeeWolfy saying “I also want the Mines. I have a strange feeling they are way better than people give them credit for, more so with these new enemies coming out.”

It does look like we will be unlocking the Anti-Tank Mines at the end of this Major Order as we are way behind on schedule to secure a victory. It may have taken over three months, but it looks like Arrowhead Game Studios has found a way to give them to us. But, it could end up being a good thing, and if you don’t enjoy them, just dont use them.
