July 24: In celebration of the recent launch of Nintendo World Championships: NES Edition, new icons have just been added to Nintendo Switch Online.
Nearly twenty character icons are now available as part of the first wave. These include Super Mario Bros. The Legend of Zelda, Metroid, and more. There are no backgrounds or frames this time around.
Note that you’ll need to be a My Nintendo member with an active Nintendo Switch Online subscription. Each icon costs 10 Platinum Points on My Nintendo. If your Nintendo Switch Online subscription ends, you’ll still be able to access the icons.
New waves of icons will rotate each Wednesday until August 14, 2024. We’ll update this post each week as new sets go live.
July 31: The second wave of icons were just made available. We have a look at some of them below.
