The Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Player Handbook At Gen Con 2024
According to an official press release, Wizards of the Coast will be providing 3,000 early copies of the Dungeons & Dragons 2024 Player Handbook to Gen Con 2024. This as part of their year-long celebration of the 50th anniversary of Dungeons & Dragons, marking it as one of the oldest foundational fantasy TTRPGs ever.
The 3,000 copies will have commemorative flourishes as part of this celebration. Each book will be embossed with the 50th-anniversary logo in gold foil, featuring a “Gen Con 2024” bookplate. This distinguishes these copies from other first-run copies while celebrating fifty years of history and stories around the table.
“The energy at Gen Con is always electric. Being able to put copies of the 2024 Player’s Handbook, fresh from the printer, directly into players’ hands on the floor of the convention is something truly special,” said Jess Lanzillo, VP of D&D Franchise and Product at Wizards of the Coast. “We can’t wait to see the excitement as our fans dive into the possibilities contained within!”
