Is The Tycoon RNG Metropunk Clockwork Overhyped? – Gamezebo

Does your build need the Tycoon RNG Metropunk Clockwork machine? It entirely depends on what your other machines do!

Tycoon RNG Metropunk Clockwork

Ah, the Metropunk Clockwork machine! It’s another one of the Divine rarity parts, making even its base version the second-rarest type of machine in the game. The Metropunk Clockwork is an upgrader machine, so it’s a great addition to your build when boosting the base value and profits of your ore.

What Does Metropunk Clockwork Do?

It does a few things! Besides the base multiplier of 29x when upgrading ore, it also provides new tags and a major debuff.

  • Adds Fuel tags (a stack of 3)
  • Adds the Magnetic Vulnerable status effect
  • Adds the Aired status effect
  • Debuff: Destroys 45% of the ores that go through the Metropunk Clockwork

Is Metropunk Clockwork Worth It?

This may be a controversial take, but no, I don’t think so myself! While it adds the Aired tag and 3 stacks of Fuel tags, the Magnetic Vulnerability it applies as well as its 45% chance to destroy your ores makes it a terrible machine to put in your build.

Do the pros outweigh the cons? Nope! You have to be super careful when applying vulnerabilities to ores – we’ve got a Tycoon RNG Vulnerability guide that goes into more detail.
