PIGGING OUT AND FOOD BANKS

Article content

How far have we come?

So, in this scrimp-and-save economy, as most of us struggle to put food on the table while living in an era of ever-increasing inflation, another Independence Day hotdog eating contest has passed featuring gluttons masquerading as athletes.

Shame on media outlets for giving it the time of the day as more and more line up at food banks for their daily survival.

HASN’T LISTENED YET

So Prime Minister Justin Trudeau is now claiming he’s going to listen to Canadians after his party’s disastrous defeat in Toronto. Really? I think we’ve been speaking quite loudly for the last nine years and he seemingly hasn’t heard a thing. The only voice he listens to is his own.

I urge all Canadians to listen closely to the way Liberals are speaking to us; they literally reek of desperation by demonizing Pierre Poilievre and the Conservatives. Deputy Prime Minister Chrystia Freeland claimed that those voting for Conservative candidate Don Stewart in the recent Toronto byelection would be voting for a vision of Canada that is “cold and cruel and small.” What, in fact, she was saying was that voters should be willing … no … jumping at the chance to keep the Liberals in power so that they can continue to destroy Canada and strip us of our freedoms and choices.

I’m pretty sure that even Liberal voters didn’t sign up for Trudeau’s “vision” of this country, nor was that made clear during any of his campaigns. We can still save this country, but, in order to do that, Trudeau and the Liberals have to go.

CHEERS TO THE STRIKE

I’m glad there is an LCBO strike. Have you seen what Justin Trudeau and his cabinet have done to this country? They must all be drunk! Cut off their booze! Come on, Canada, let’s get rid of Justin Trudeau and his liquor cabinet!
