LET TAXPAYERS DECIDE

It recently dawned on me that almost everything that I complain about mostly comes from the fact that governments at all levels decide what they are going to spend my money on and tax me accordingly.
Tax-free day, which occurs around mid-June, means that about 50 per cent of what I earn is taken in taxation of one kind or another … 50 per cent!
Something is dreadfully wrong here, and more and more are standing in line to wait for a free ride. How about we, the taxpayers, decide how much of our money is going to be given, and the government can then allocate it to what is truly critical?
For all of you who demand more money for your causes, we will set up a GoFundMe page. Then only the ones who support you will need to pay.
Oh, to be king for a day.

‘SAFE SUPPLY?’ NOPE
Re: Preem, give ’em the hard stuff; Leader should take even firmer stance on ‘safe supply,’ May 24
This column by Adam Zivo should be required reading for all those left-wing softies who support “safe supply” drug programs and “safe” injection sites. Anyone could see that drugs and crime were going to proliferate and filter into surrounding communities, which they did.
The federal government and Health Canada need to own this, but, like so many of their destructive policies, they won’t. How come we never hear of safe-injection sites or homeless shelters in Rockcliffe Park?

NO TROOPS IN UKRAINE
There have been rumblings from France and other NATO countries of the possibility of sending troops to fight the Russians.

I would sincerely hope that our government, whether it be the Liberals or, no doubt down the road the Conservatives, does not even think of following suit.
I sincerely hope that this never comes to fruition, but if it does I will do everything in my power to protect my grandchildren from ever being involved in such foolishness.
