PlayStation gamers should mark their calendars for May 30, as a new State of Play livestream has been confirmed for that day. The previous PlayStation State of Play was held on Wednesday, January 30 and featured trailers for then-upcoming titles like Dragon’s Dogma 2, Helldivers 2, and Rise of the Ronin. There were also closer looks at numerous PlayStation games that still haven’t launched yet, such as Judas, Silent Hill 2, and Death Stranding 2: On the Beach.
It was only a matter of time before Sony announced a second PlayStation State of Play event for 2024, and there has been plenty of speculation about when it would take place and what projects would be featured. While the initial rumors suggested that this livestream would instead be a larger PlayStation Showcase, later reports would confirm that it will indeed be a State of Play. As for what could be shown at the upcoming event, some gamers are hoping for official announcements of rumored first-party PlayStation projects like the supposed Astro Bot and LEGO Horizon games.
