Durham Regional Police are looking for a male and female who allegedly used counterfeit currency to buy goods from a Walmart store in Bowmanville on May 4.

The suspects are also being investigated for similar incidents in other regions.

The first suspect is a 5-foot-11 white male, 21-35 years old, with a thin build and brown hair. He was wearing black sunglasses, a black jacket, white shirt, dark pants, and white shoes.

The second suspect is a 5-foot-8 white female, 25-40 years old, with shoulder-length, dark, curly hair. She was wearing dark glasses, a grey/black sweater, dark pants and black shoes.

TEEN CHARGED IN OSHAWA STABBING

A 16-year-old female from Toronto has been charged with aggravated assault, assault with a weapon and possessing a weapon dangerous to the public in connection with a stabbing in Oshawa.

Durham Regional Police said at about 10:55 p.m. on May 11, they responded to an armed person call in the area of Beatrice St. E. and Wilson Rd. N.

Authorities said three male youths were in the company of two female youths near an Oshawa residence. The males left and later saw the females again. One of the females had a knife and allegedly chased the males with the victim stabbed multiple times.

The victim was transported to a Toronto-area trauma centre with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

On May 21, a suspect was located and taken into custody.

WEAPON ALLEGEDLY POINTED AT COPS

A 23-year-old Oshawa man is facing multiple charges after someone allegedly pointed a weapon at police.

On Sunday at about 2:35 p.m., Durham Regional Police responded to a disturbance call in the area of Simcoe St. S. and John St. in Oshawa after a group was making threats toward the victim and staff of a local business.

One of the men was believed to be in possession of a firearm and fled on foot. When confronted by police, they allegedly pointed a firearm at officers. After a foot pursuit, the male allegedly threw the firearm over a fence and he was taken into custody without incident.

An airsoft gun was allegedly seized during the investigation.

William Hayes is charged with uttering threats, use of an imitation firearm, possessing a weapon dangerous to the public and fail to comply with a probation order.

DRIVER SOUGHT IN HAMILTON SHOOTING PROBE

Hamilton Police have identified the driver of a Nissan in a shooting exchange that took place on May 13 in the alleyway area of Kinrade Ave. and Barton St. E.

After striking two other vehicles in an attempt to flee, the driver crashed their vehicle near Gibson Ave. and fled the scene on foot.

An arrest warrant was issued for Malcolm Davis, 25, of Hamilton, who is considered armed and dangerous. If you encounter him, call 911 immediately. Investigators also encouraged Davis to seek legal counsel and turn himself in to police.

The investigation is ongoing as police try to identify another suspect.

MAN WANTED IN STEELTOWN SEX ASSAULT PROBE

Hamilton Police are investigating a sexual assault allegedly involving a youth on their way to school in the area of Heather Rd. and Sunrise Dr.

Authorities said on Monday at about 8:30 a.m., the victim was walking when an unknown male approached them in their vehicle and motioned for them to come over. A sexual invitation was allegedly given to the youth before the male grabbed their hand and licked it before the youth fled.

The suspect is a brown male with slicked-back black hair and no facial hair. The suspect vehicle is a black two-door “fancy” car, possibly with red on both rear-view mirrors.

COP CHARGED AFTER ALLEGED DOMESTIC INCIDENT

A 38-year-old Hamilton Police officer has been charged in an intimate partner violence investigation.

The officer, who’s been with the service for seven years, was charged in Stoney Creek on Saturday.

He faces assault with a weapon, robbery and mischief under $5,000 and has also been suspended.
