HoYoverse has announced the Genshin Impact Version 4.7 release date, with a new Challenge Domain, new playable characters, and much more arriving in June.
Otherwise known as “An Everlasting Dream Intertwined” (for this is how Genshin Impact Versions are usually named), Version 4.7 arrives on June 5th, and it packs a nice additional challenge for those who want more bang for their (lack of) buck.
The first big new addition coming in Version 4.7 is the Imaginarium Theater, a new Challenge Domain that resets each month. It gives you a chance to earn big rewards by participating in combat challenges with specific restrictions on things like elements and character choices.
Three new characters are also being introduced in Genshin Impact Version 4.7, and after Version 4.6 introduced the game’s first Bond of Life character, that mechanic is making a reappearance in the new update as well.
Five-star Electro sword user Clorinde can accumulate Bond of Life in her Night Vigil state, then clear that accumulation to heal herself, although any healing she receives in Night Vigil will contribute to her Bond of Life instead.
The second Bond of Life user is Sigewinne, a 5-star Hydro bow user who can use her Bond of Life to help her party members. She’s best used with other Bond of Life characters, as her healing increases based on the total Bond of Life in your party.
Lastly, Genshin Impact Version 4.7 brings 4-star Electro archer Sethos. He’ll feature alongside Clorinde and an Alhaitham rerun in the Event Wishes for the first half of the update, while the second half will bring Sigewinne and a rerun for Furina.
Version 4.7 also brings a new tower defense minigame, as well as an increase in the Original Resin cap from 160 to 200.
HoYoverse has also released a sneak peek of the new Natlan nation, which will be coming to Genshin Impact “later this year”. You can check out that teaser below.

Genshin Impact is available to play for free right now across PC, PlayStation, and mobile devices. Version 4.7 launches on June 5th.
