In celebration of its 70th anniversary, the Canadian restaurant chain is releasing a limited edition of Swiss Chalet clothes and accessories called the Retro Summer Merch Collection.

Now available online at merch.swisschalet.com, the company says the collection “is inspired by menu art from Swiss Chalet’s first location on Bloor Street and Bedford Road in Toronto and a vintage ad from the Brand’s early days.”
It features such summer staples as slides, bags, T-shirts, hats, beach towels, socks, and more.
“Over the last 70 years, Swiss Chalet has woven a rich story, deeply rooted in the lives and hearts of Canadians across the country, so we’re proud to offer this collection as a piece of our shared history,” Franco Tascione, Swiss Chalet COO, said in a statement.

“The Retro Summer Collection exudes nostalgia and a retro-cool style, a nod to the Swiss Chalet experience which is often brimming with fond memories, warmth, and a sense of comfort,” added Beatrice Robertson, senior director of marketing.
The restaurant’s Signature Chalet Dipping Sauce is even playfully printed on a bold red bucket hat.
Profits from the collection will be donated to Food Banks Canada with every $1 donated providing the equivalent of two meals to people experiencing food insecurity.
Swiss Chalet was founded in 1954 with almost 200 locations across Canada under the operation of RECIPE Unlimited Corporation.
