Paradox’s Sims-like life-sim Life By You has been delayed again, and thus the Life By You release date will not be June 4th. That was the previous release date announced back in March.
This is actually the third time for a Life by You delay, as it was also delayed in July 2023, from a planned September release date. It may be that following the very rough launch of Cities Skylines 2, the publisher is being cautious with a new game releasing, and making sure that its early access state is good enough to stand up to scrutiny.
What is the Life By You Release Date?
There is no new release window or date for Life By You in the Paradox announcement. Instead, they state they want to avoid committing to a date that they might be unable to meet, requiring a fourth delay potentially.
The full Life By You delay statement is:
Hello everyone,
After much consideration, we regret to announce that we have decided to retract Life by You’s Early Access release date, previously set for June 4th. This was not an easy decision, especially since we understand the anticipation and excitement that many players have for the game. However, we believe that additional development time is needed.
While we would have preferred to commit to a new release window, we believe it is more prudent to hold off while we plan ahead, rather than committing to a new date that we cannot be certain to meet.
We will provide more information as soon as possible, until then we want to sincerely thank you for your continued support and patience.

Beyond the Cities Skylines 2 issues that have plagued its launch, its possible that Paradox might be concerned about the increasing number of games targetting the Life sim subgenre, with games like Paralives and Afterlife in the works. With more Sims-like games in the works, having a higher caliber product at the early access launch may help it start strong and sustain in a market place that will have more competition then they may have expected when they signed the game.
