The original Helldivers game was focused around three factions, and two of them are in Helldivers 2. But, that leaves The Illuminate as the only one that has yet to make an appearance, but we do know that they are coming due to the many leaks that have been revealed over the past few months. As more leaks appear, it looks like the story is getting closer to revealing the new faction to players.
The prominent Helldivers 2 leaker IronS1ghts has once again taken to Reddit to share some new images from the elusive Helldivers 2 faction, The Illuminate. Despite first being teased shortly after Helldivers 2 launched, the futuristic faction has yet to make an appearance, but these new leaks add another key piece to the puzzle. The latest images show a gauntlet that the Summoner enemy will wear and it will act as a weapon by harnessing the power of crystals that can be slotted around it.
The new gauntlet will be powered by five crystals that are slotted in it, but it isn’t clear yet whether all five will need to use the gauntlet or whether each coincides with an ability or perk that can be used. It will be interesting to see how these work in-game, but animations for the Summoner enemy were leaked back in March 2024 which you can check out below too.
Although the Helldivers 2 community is waiting patiently for The Illuminate to come to the game, we can’t take our eyes off the matter at hand, and that is ensuring that the Automatons and Terminids aren’t victorious in taking over the galaxy. The current Major Order calls for the defense of four planets while Super Earth trains new recruits. After losing two Major Orders in a row, we can’t make this a third one.
