Over the past month, the focus of Helldivers 2 has been on the Automatons, with many Major Orders trying to eradicate them from the galaxy. This led to the Helldivers failing one of the only Major Orders on April 1st, which was followed by a second shortly after. Because of this, it allowed the Automatons to gain the upper hand after allowing Super Earth to believe the robots were eradicated. This initially put the Helldivers on the back foot but players have managed to push back and slow down the invasion.
Now, it is time to put some focus back on the Terminids, who have been largely just living in peace over these past few weeks. Super Earth has ordered Helldivers 2 players to kill 2 billion Terminids over the next six days. At face value, 2 billion sounds like a lot, but with the way the Helldivers have already been spreading democracy, this will be light work for players.
At the time of writing, players have already killed 76,620,418 Terminids, accounting for 3.8% completion in less than two hours of the Major Order going live. It is worth noting that it is currently early morning in the US as I write and only 88,000 players are online, which is drastically lower than the 200,000+ it sees for most of the day. So, I wouldn’t expect this Major Order to take too long to complete, Super Earth is going to have to do better than that if they want to give the Helldivers a challenge.
With two billion Terminids about to get served a sweet cup of Liber-tea, you will need to ensure that you and your squad are in the best position to bring democracy. For this, we highly recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide so you can create the perfect loadout to eradicate the Terminids.
