Dragon’s Dogma 2 gives players all sorts of options to choose from when creating their character should they choose to do so. One of the major choices will be to make your Arisen either a human or a Beastren. For much of the game, this won’t have any major impact on how your character plays, but it will influence how easily you can cross over into Battahl.
Battahl is the second major region in the game, south of Vermund. While mostly desert, Battahl offers stronger enemies to fight, along with continuing the main story after finishing up the events of Vernworth. Should a player be a human and want to pass through the main gate, a Beastren Mask will be needed; here’s where to get one.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Largest Monsters, Ranked
Dragon’s Dogma 2 features an array of terrifying monsters that challenge the Arisen. These creatures in particular tower over all else.
Where To Get A Beastren Mask in DD2
For those in need of a Beastren Mask to get through the Battahl border, Checkpoint Rest Town will be your best bet. Within that town will be Georg, a wandering Beastren merchant who sells a Beastren Mask for 8,700 Gold. Georg will wander around town randomly but is most often found near the well by the entrance of town most hours of the day.
Should players not be able to find Georg, head to Ibrahim’s Scrap Shop along the western side of town. He will also be selling a Beastren Mask for 8,700 Gold, making either merchant a viable option.
Dragon’s Dogma 2: Full Quest List (All Main & Side Missions)
Dragon’s Dogma 2 is filled to the brim with an abundance of quests. This guide will show you what they are, both compulsory and optional.
How To Use A Beastren Mask
The only real use for a Beastren Maks is to use a Battahl passport to enter the region. As this passport can only be used by a Beastren, wearing the mask will make any human appear as a Beastren and get past the guard. The guard also won’t take notice or be affected if the player equips the mask right in front of them and will still let the player through.
Should You Keep Your Beastren Mask?
After wearing a Beastren Mask to get through the gate and into Battahl, don’t get rid of it. Whenever passing through the gate going either direction, that mask will need to be equipped again until such time that players get their hands on a residency permit. Until players have an abundance of Ferrystones, this gate will be the most efficient way of traveling between the regions, with a Beastren Mask being the second half of your key through. This mask only weighs .81 kg, and it shouldn’t be much of an issue for any Vocation to carry around and have whenever needed. If its weight does prove to be a problem, keep it in storage, as you will eventually need it again.
