Epic Games released a new Fortnite update today. More specifically, the development team enabled content that was added with the v29.20 update on Tuesday. The update brought many new changes to the game and a new event. While many players were excited about the Avatar collaboration, they didn’t expect massive loot pool changes.
In this article, we will list all the important changes that arrived with today’s Fortnite update. However, before we begin, you may be interested in entering our giveaway of 18,500 V-Bucks. The new Fortnite update brought massive changes to the loot pool
Shortly before the Avatar collaboration came out, Fortnite leakers got their hands on new Mythic abilities. In total, they leaked four new abilities that eventually arrived with the collaboration. However, Epic Games decided to vault Olympian Powers with the latest new update, which is why it’s no longer possible to obtain the Thunderbolt of Zeus and a few other items.
Instead of Olympian Mythic items, these are the new items that are currently available:
- Waterbending – Hurl sharp projectiles and heal passively in the water
- Earthbending – Summon chunks of earth to throw at enemies or use as cover
- Firebending – Launch arcs of fire towards enemies
- Airbending – Travel quickly over the island or launch yourself and other players in the air
In addition to these loot pool changes, the new Fortnite update brought the Avatar event. Once again, you can unlock many new rewards from the event pass, both free and paid. The Avatar pass brings eight free rewards, including the Appa glider. If you purchase the premium track for 1,000 V-Bucks, you’ll immediately unlock the Aang outfit, as well as access to a few more Avatar cosmetics.
The Fortnite x Avatar collaboration ends on May 3 at 2 AM Eastern Time. Epic will likely unvault Olympian Powers on this date, and we expect them to stay in Fortnite until the end of the season. Before you purchase the premium track, however, you need to keep in mind that some of its rewards, including Aang, may come to the Item Shop at a later date.
