Starting a new game can be incredibly daunting, especially if it is one where you’re going to be playing with other players. Although you can play Helldivers 2 solo, when it comes to higher difficulties you do need to play with a team especially if you want to maximize the amount of Samples you find during the time limit.
Helldivers 2 is also unfortunately known for being quite toxic when it comes to higher-level players looking down on lower levels, even kicking them from games. Fortunately, not every Helldivers 2 player is like this, one player has been taking a break from the higher difficulties to help new players get to grips with the game.
U/Czar_Eternal took to Reddit to detail them witnessing a level 57 player playing on the Trivial difficulty, the lower difficulty in the game, to help a level 5 Helldivers learn the game and how to complete objectives saying “I witnessed you teaching a fresh level 5 how to complete objectives with every possible communication tool in your arsenal, whether using markers, emotes, icons, or body movement. Your patience and kindness are all too rare in today’s gaming world, and won’t be forgotten.”
Many other Helldivers shared their experiences of helping lower levels, including u/BasJack who said “A level 1 joined me in mid-mission in trivial, it was his first mission, I let him drive the mech, he was so happy.” U/Dulenten commented saying that Arrowhead Game Studios should commentate the player saying “Unknown helldiver monument WHEN??” The player getting immortalized is unlikely, but it does show that not every gamer is toxic and there are still wholesome moments taking place as players come together to share their love of democracy.
Everyone starts their journey as a beginner and even the high-level players you see today were level 1 just a couple of months ago.
