When it comes to higher difficulties, especially above level five, Helldivers need all the help they can get to survive as the constant threat of high powered enemies looms as it becomes incredibly easy to gets overwhelmed. Because of this, having the game work as intended is important and can be the difference between life and death. After experiencing Helldivers 2’s mechanics not working as intended, one player has had enough and wants to see Arrowhead Game Studios fix it.
U/Not-Beaten has taken to Reddit to rant about the enemy dropships not working as expected saying “It seems a solid 90% of the time that I blow a dropship out of the sky, the units it was going to drop fall, the dropship lands ontop of them, it explodes. And then they look at me, mildly offended that I even bothered.”
Destroying the dropship is a great way to take out the horse of enemies easily without having to engage them. In the higher difficulties at times there is a never-ending delivery of enemies so dispatching them quickly is essential as it can be difficult to survive when dozens of enemies are firing at you. However, instead of killing the enemies, quite often there is no damage given to the enemies. Arrowhead Game Studios is very active when it comes to fixing issues, with the latest hotfix coming just a day after the recent 01.000.200 update to address some issues that it caused. With this glitch now being discussed by the community, it is likely that the developers will fix it in a future update.
As Helldivers 2 continues to expand with new planets, missions, and enemies, glitches and issues will arise, so being able to adapt to whatever the game throws at you is key. That is why we recommend checking out our Helldivers 2 best weapons guide and best armor guide so you can create the best soldier possible, that way when the dropships aren’t doing what they are supposed to you might be able to survive the army of enemies that now surround you.
