A Trivela Shot is a soccer technique where the player curls the ball with the outside of their foot. In EA FC 24, you can execute this technique by positioning your players correctly, mastering the basics of aiming, and pressing a simple combination of keys. This guide will teach you how to perform a Trivela Shot, enabling you to score more goals.

How to Curl a Shot in FC 24

The formula for a Trivela Shot is L2 + Circle on PlayStation and LT + B on Xbox. Align the player with the opposite post and press the shot button while holding down the left trigger. (Align right-footed players with the left post and left-footed players with the right.)

A curl or Trivela Shot occurs whenthe player shoots the ball with the outside of their dominant foot. Position them so that the outside of their right or left foot matches the shot’s direction. Otherwise, they will attempt a regular or finesse-looking shot.

For a Trivela Shot during a free kick, position the player on the opposite side of the ball relative to their dominant foot and adjust the curl indicator on the ball to the opposite flank using the left joystick.

The Best Positioning for a Trivela Shot

An ideal position for attempting a Trivela Shot is along the sides of the penalty box. When positioned away from the penalty arc, facing ample space ahead, and aligned with either the right or left post, you have the best chance to score a goal with a curling shot.

The formation offering the most Trivela Shot opportunities is the 4-3-2-1, featuring LW and RW (Left Wing & Right Wing) supporting the Striker. In this setup, the Back Wings provide offensive Wings with chances for curling shots, while the Striker capitalizes on potential rebounds.

Tips for Scoring with Trivela Shots

If you want to land better curling shots, keep these in mind:

Curl the ball with a player who has the Trivela PlayStyle. This increases the chances of landing an accurate shot—especially if they have Trivela+.
Watch for the Goalkeeper movement. Professional players position their GK strategically to better counter a Trivela attempt. Before executing the curling shot, ensure the Goalkeeper remains stationary.
Cancel your shot before it’s blocked. If the opponent is likely to block your curl, press the X button (A on Xbox) to cancel the attempt. This gives you a fake shot that can fool the enemy’s defense line and open up some space.
Avoid overpowered curling shots. When close to the box, using three (or three and a half) bars of shot power is sufficient. Going beyond this limit will likely result in a missed shot.
