The MLB The Show 24 Egg Hunt is right around the corner. This recurring Diamond Dynasty event is always a hit with players. It’s one of the first major events for players to try out in the season, as it usually coincides with the beginning of the MLB regular season and comes shortly after the game’s release. Here are the release date and revealed cards for the upcoming card-based event.
When is the Egg Hunt release date?
The Egg Hunt event in MLB The Show 24 is to begin on Friday, March 29 at about noon ET. That will be 4 pm GMT, 9 am PT, and 5 pm BST. At that time, provided your application is up to date, you will be able to load into MLB The Show Diamond Dynasty and take part. We’re particularly excited for this event, as we love the art style of the cards.
This mode includes mini seasons, conquest map, and more, but it will more than likely have dedicated events and gameplay specific to the Easter-themed event. Easter is this Sunday, March 31, but that is not the stated end date of the event.
Reveals for MLB The Show 24 Egg Hunt
So far, just two cards have been revealed. On the MLB The Show official X page, they shared the Egg Hunt cards for Atlanta Braves former star John Smoltz (90 overall diamond) and current star Aaron Bummer (89 overall diamond). Right now, those are the only reveals that have taken place, but there will undoubtedly be a lot more great cards where those came from once you find the total number of Easter eggs.
For now, that’s all they have revealed. No other cards have been shown off, and they haven’t teased any of the missions or events in Diamond Dynasty. However, this is not a brand new event. It was in MLB The Show 23 and others prior, so it’s not an unfamiliar one.
Here are some of last year’s locations for the Egg Hunt:
- Great Egg Hunt Moments
- Conquer any Stronghold in Conquest
- Defeat four different teams in Mini Seasons Classic
- Hit one Home Run in Battle Royale
- Play and finish one Ranked game
- Have five combined walks across multiple games
- Earn 1000 PXP from Egg Hunt Program players
- Win a Play vs CPU against the Blue Jays, Cardinals, or Orioles
- Play and finish one Events game
There was a combination of both locations in the game and missions to complete, and that will more than likely be true this year as well. They won’t be in the same places (main menus) or for the same missions, but the above can give you a sense of what to expect tomorrow.
That’s all you need to know currently about the egg hunt in MLB The Show 24, but we will update you when we have more information regarding the event. For now, check out how to play as a woman, how to get traded, and how to upgrade your player!
