Genshin Impact Chevreuse build

Fontaine is brimming with fanciful new features, along with a cast of vibrant characters – one of which is Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse. She’s the Righteous Enforcer of the Law and captain of the Special Security and Surveillance Patrol in Fontaine and uses a musket in her combat alongside a polearm and some explosives. Her kit focuses on buffing the overloaded reaction, so you’re sure to pack a punch with Genshin’s Chevreuse on your team.

Here’s how to build Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse into an excellent unit.

What’s the best Chevreuse build?

Best weapon Rightful Reward
Weapon substitutes Black Tassel, Favonuis Lance
Best artifact set Noblesse Oblige
Main stats -Sands: HP
-Goblet: HP
-Circlet: HP
Sub stats HP, energy recharge, elemental mastery

Chevreuse is a four-star pyro user, wielding a polearm – though her musket shows up in her animations as Genshin Impact’s Mika‘s crossbow does. She’s a support unit dedicated to improving the outcome of the overloaded reaction between pyro and electro, allowing your DPS to do some serious damage. She also provides a little bit of healing while she’s here, too.

Chevreuse has attacks and healing skills that scale off HP, so her best weapon is the Rightful Reward polearm, and a full set of Noblesse Oblige artifacts with HP stats. Getting her HP to around 40,000 is your best bet for a good heal.

How do I use Genshin Impact’s Chevreuse?

Using Chevreuse can take a little while to get used to, but she’s there to make your overloaded reactions stronger, along with your pyro and electro DPS moves. The best thing to do is to use your pyro or electro DPS’s move to trigger the reaction, then swap to Chevreuse and unleash her elemental skill. This deals higher damage with her pyro application.

Thankfully, getting buffs to your attack and overloaded damage is fairly easy as it’s Chevreuse’s passive talents that add damage. As long as you have at least one pyro and electro character in the team and consistently trigger overloaded, you should reap all the benefits.

What are the best weapons for Chevreuse?

Chevreuse benefits from a high HP stat, so aiming for a weapon that can boost this is key. The Rightful Reward can do this and restore energy for Chevreuse whenever she heals. An easy option is the Black Tassel, which can be refined quickly thanks to it being a common drop on the banners.

Weapon Effect How to obtain
Rightful Reward (four-star) Bonus effect: Increases HP
Skill: When Chevreuse heals, she regenerates eight energy. This can trigger once every ten seconds and can occur when she is off-field
Forged
Favonius Lance (four-star) Bonus effect: Increases energy recharge
Skill: Crit hits have a 60% chance to generate elemental particles, which generate six energy for Chevreuse
All banners
Black Tassel (three-star) Bonus effect: Increases HP
Skill: Increases damage against slimes by 40%
All banners
Dragon’s Bane (four-star) Bonus effect: Increases elemental mastery
Skill: Increases damage against opponents affected by pyro by 20%
All banners

What are the best artifacts for Chevreuse?

We recommend a healing bonus artifact and a two-piece healing bonus set like Maiden Beloved or Ocean Hued Clam, as part of her kit allows her to heal teammates, but focus on stacking up Chevreuse’s HP stat.

While Chevreuse provides some healing based on her maximum HP, her second constellation’s talent scales off her maximum attack – so if you have this unlocked, focus on upping this number, too.

Artifact set Effect How to obtain
Noblesse Oblige Two equipped: Elemental burst damage increases
Four equipped: When Chevreuse uses an elemental burst, every party member’s attack increases by 20% for 12 seconds. This cannot stack
Clear Pool and Mountain Cavern domain
Song of Days Past Two equipped: Adds a healing bonus

When the duration expires, the effect transforms into Waves of Days Past. This increases the damage of normal, charged, plunging, elemental skill, and elemental burst attacks by 8% of the total healing. The effect removes after five uses or ten seconds.
A single instance can record up to 15,000 healing, including from multiple characters

What are the best Genshin Impact Chevreuse team comps?

Chevreuse gives significant boosts to teammates when setting off the overloaded reaction, so we suggest you pair her with another pyro teammate, and two electro to capitalize on the reaction.

An overload team with Cyno, Raiden, Klee, Yanfei, or Keqing as the DPS paired with Fischl, Beidou, or Kuki Shinobu for support alongside Chevreuse can work wonders.

What are Chevreuse’s abilities?

While Chevreuse is in your party, if your party contains at least one other pyro and electro character, triggering the overloaded reaction causes the opponent’s pyro and electro resistance to decrease, allowing you to deal that much more damage to targets. Also, Chevreuse’s passive skill decreases the stamina consumed while sprinting.

Active skills:

Skill Effect
Normal attack: Line Bayonet Thrust EX Normal: Chevreuse performs up to four consecutive spear strikes
Charged: Consumes a certain amount of stamina to lunge forward, dealing damage to opponents along the way
Plunging: Plunges from mid-air to strike the ground below, dealing AoE damage on impact
Elemental skill: Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire Chevreuse quickly shoulders her musket and fires at opponents, dealing AoE pyro damage. For a short duration after firing a shot, Chevreuse restores HP to the active character on the field based on her maximum HP.
Hold: Entering aiming mode, Chevreuse locks onto a target and fires a precise shot. If she has an Overcharged Ball, then she fires that instead, dealing bigger pyro damage. She gains one Overcharged Ball every time a character triggers the overloaded reaction, and can have one at a time.
Arkhe: Ousia – Periodically, after Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire hits, a Surging Blade appears and deals ousia-aligned pyro damage
Elemental burst: Ring of Bursting Grenades Chevreuse fires an explosive grenade from her musket that explodes, dealing pyro AoE damage, and splits into secondary explosive shells on impact. These then explode, dealing more pyro damage

Passive skills:

Skill Effect
Vanguard’s Coordinated Tactics (unlocked at ascension one) When all party members are pyro and electro, with at least one of each, Chevreuse grants ‘Coordinated Tactics’ to nearby party members. After a character triggers the overloaded reaction, the pyro and electro resistance of the opponents decreases by 40% for six seconds
Vertical Force Coordination (unlocked at ascension four) After Chevreuse fires an Overcharged Ball using Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire, nearby pyro and electro characters in the party gain a 1% attack increase for every 1,000 of Chevreuse’s maximum HP, for 30 seconds. Attack can increase up to 40% in this way
Double Time March (unlocked automatically) Decreases stamina consumption by 20% while sprinting when Chevreuse is in your party

What are Chevreuse’s constellations?

Here are the talents you can unlock if you get more than one copy of Chevreuse. Her C2 and C6 increase the attack of party members, so are very worthwhile.

Constellation Effect
C1: Stable Front Line’s Resolve When the active character with ‘Coordinated Tactics’ status – not including Chevreuse – triggers the overloaded reaction, they recover six energy. This can trigger once every ten seconds
C2: Sniper Induced Explosion After holding Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire and hitting a target, two chain explosions trigger near the location where the target is hit. Each explosion deals pyro damage equal to 120% of Chevreuse’s attack. This can trigger once every ten seconds, and this damage is considered as elemental skill damage
C3: Practiced Field Stripping Technique Increases the level of  Chevreuse’s elemental skill, Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire, by three. This skill can reach a maximum level of 15
C4: The Secret to Rapid-Fire Multishots After using Ring of Bursting Grenades, the hold mode of Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire will not go on cooldown after use. This effect ends after Short-Range Rapid Interdiction Fire’s hold skill gets used twice, or after six seconds
C5: Enhanced Incendiary Firepower Increases the level of Chevreuse’s elemental burst, Ring of Bursting Grenades, by three. This can reach a maximum of level 15
C6: In Pursuit of Ending Evil After 12 seconds of the healing effect from Short-Range Rapid Interdiction, all party members recover HP equivalent equal to 10% of Chevreuse’s maximum HP. After a party member is healed in this way, they gain a 20% pyro/electro damage bonus for eight seconds. Maximum three stacks. Each stack’s duration counts separately
