Dragon’s Dogma 2 is now out and, unfortunately, the reception has been mixed. The game’s quality hasn’t been refuted, but there are complaints about the PC version’s optimization. While the drawbacks can’t be denied, the bright side for the PC community is that mods are available to download and will only get better. Here you will find a selection of the best Dragon’s Dogma 2 Nexus mods available to download right now.
One of the biggest issues with the game on PC is fans warning that Denuvo could brick the game on Steam because of the only way in which you can delete save files. There are also complaints about micotransactions introduced after the review period, and there are problems involving stuttering and low FPS.
All of the above are no doubt problematic, and hopefully, they will be resolved by Capcom as soon as possible. While Capcom needs to heavily improve the game’s performance on PC, the fanbase is already at work on delivering mods that make Dragon’s Dogma 2 easier and look better.
Best Dragon’s Dogma 2 Nexus mods to download
There isn’t an overwhelming amount of Dragon’s Dogma 2 mods to download as the game only just launched on March 21st/22nd. However, there is still a selection worthy of installing if you wish to slightly improve the game.
One of the best mods you can download right now is NPC’s hairstyles for Arisen and Pawn. The character creator is incredible with the capability to recreate numerous celebrity faces, but this mod adds even more and better hairstyles. Some of the additional hairstyles include Ulrika’s, Wilhelmina’s, and Disa’s.
Another really good mod is DLSS3 Enabler 01 posted on Patreon by PureDark. Although posted on Patreon, it is a free download not hidden behind a paywall. It ‘enables the game’s own hidden DLSS3 implementation,’ but the modder warns that some people have encountered crashes while others haven’t encountered any issues at all.
Aside from DLSS3 and more cosmetics, other useful mods pertain to making the game easier. There is an item tweaks mod that affects armor, items, and weapons with the option of costing one gold, having no weight, and being sellable at x10 the original price.
Lastly, there’s a mod that makes apples restore full max HP, there’s one that removes the Arisen’s special scar on their chest, and there is also a mod that adds gorgeous custom tattoos to the game better than anything offered by Capcom.
It is admittedly slim pickings right now, but more and even better mods for the game should be uploaded soon following its full release. There will no doubt be endless cosmetics as well as mounts for gameplay and traversal, and hopefully, there will be more mods to improve the game’s visual fidelity and performance.
