Arrowhead Game Studios recently released the Helldivers 2 patch 1.000.103 which addressed many balancing issues and fixes to improve the game. While it wasn’t the most exciting update to come to the game, it did fix one of the more hilarious issues that has plagued players for the past couple of weeks.
Helldivers 2 features an exosuit mech which is capable of firing missiles at the Terminid and any other foe that stands in your way. Unfortunately, it has also had a major issue in that if you turned to the side and then fired a missile it would hit the exosuit and kill your character. This was understandably very frustrating for players, especially when enemies are coming at you from all angles.
This issue has now been fixed in the latest 1.00.103 update with the patch notes saying “Exosuit no longer destroys itself when firing a missile while turning.” The latest fix comes at the perfect time as players have been once again tasked with liberating planets to help take down the Terminid. Players recently completed the Terminid Control System Major Order community event which saw thousands of players collectively liberated four planets in record time, although it brought with it permanent changes to the game. So far these changes haven’t been seen by players, but with Arrowhead Game Studios being no stranger to stealth adding content, at any moment a new threat could appear, much like the Shriekers which caught players off guard last week when they were suddenly spotted flying around the planets before attacking players.
With the fight against the Terminid heating up, now is a great time to jump into Helldivers 2 if you’ve yet to join the fight and you can now use the exosuit without issues.
