Where to Find Every Chocograss

For players who want to earn some excellent optional rewards, here’s how to get every Chocograss in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.

The new Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth has been gaining tremendous popularity because of introducing new minigames as well as Side Quests that dive deeper into some of the minigames. There are numerous collectibles scattered all over the different regions in the game. Collectibles like Chocograss can be found later in the game in the Nibel region during Chapter 11.

The game does not force you to collect any of these, but if you want to acquire some great rewards, including a weapon for a party member, then buckle up on your Chocobo and start flying up in the air to collect those watery plants.

Chocograss is first introduced in the “Esoteric Secrets of the Elders” side quest. First, you must reach the Nibel region, which the game takes you in the main story in Chapter 11. Once you reach Nibel make your way to Nibelheim. You can take this quest from the Community Noticeboard in Nibelheim and make your way to the Chocobo Sage’s Manor east of Activation Intel Tower 3. Here, the Sage will instruct you to acquire Selena the Chocobo. If you have already captured her, then talk to the Sage, who will give you the task of acquiring 30 tufts of Chocograss. These tufts can be acquired all over the Nibel region on the massive bodies of water.

You can use the Chocojet and the Glide features while riding the Chocobo to fly through the body of water quickly while collecting the Chocograss. The video below shows how you can utilize these features.

Some of the tufts of Chocograss can be tricky to find, especially the ones located inside the various caves on the islands. The table below lists all of the Chocograss and their respective locations:

14			Located north of Expedition Intel 3 as you enter the west region.
15			Straight ahead from the previous Chocograss.
16			Directly east of the Activation Intel Tower 4.
17			South of the Activation Intel Tower 4.
18			Keep hugging the Tower Island on your right, and the Chocograss should be visible.
19			Head north from the previous location.
20			Keep heading north to find another Chocograss.
21			Located all the way above on the map north of Cliffs of Abjuration Cache Point.
22			Circle around the Cliffs to find a Chocograss on the left side.
23			Located inside the rock wall that you can ChocoJet and land on.
24			Directly in front of the previous Chocograss.
25			Inside the cave that can be entered from the previous Chocograss location.
26			Southwest of the Divine Intel 3.
27			Keep heading south to find another Chocograss.
28			Circle around the rock walls ahead to find this.
29			West of Nidhogg Grotto.
30			Located towards the southwest of Fiend Intel 4 along the outside of the walls.
31			This can be found inside the Nidhogg Grotto.
32			East of Fiend Intel 4.
33			This is located east of the previous location south of Expedition Intel 4.
34			Head further east to find this Chocograss south of Excavation Intel: Island Base.
35			West of Stoaway Cave Cache Point.
36			Head north of the previous location to find this.
37			North of Excavation Intel: Island Base.
38			Inside the Excavation Intel: Island base.
39			In the cave inside Expedition Intel 4.
40			Proceed further ahead into the cave to find this Chocograss.
41			This is located north of the Expedition Intel 4.
42			Clearly visible slightly north of the Chocobo Stop.
43			Head northwest from the previous location for this Chocograss.
44			Head north of the previous location.
45			Located a few paces to the east of the previous Chocograss.
46			Located slightly east of the Chocobo Stop on this island.
47			West of the Chocobo Stop, floating between the two islands.
48			Head north of the previous Chocograss.
49			Located on the higher level of Nidhogg Grotto just before reaching the Fiend Intel 4.

This side quest can progress once you acquire 30 Chocograss, but you can go all the way to 50 to earn more rewards. One of the most important rewards is Cait Sith‘s weapon, Gjallarhorn, which you have to acquire in order to obtain the Platinum Trophy.
