If you are looking to take on the challenge of a new puzzle adventure game, then mark your calendars for May 21st. As well as having a few TV shows and movies, Netflix will be hosting a new game from BAFTA-winning creator Henry Hoffman, called Paper Trail.
The appropriately named Paige is a budding academic and needs your help to fold and tear through this marathon of paper-based worlds and obstacles through the use of Origami. You will be able to pinch and fold the very fabric of the world itself as you try to guide Paige on her journey as she ventures from home for the first time.
Sporting an art style that draws inspiration from printmaking and watercolour, Paper Trail is quite the sight to look at, as you try to master its deceptively-easy seeming puzzles. You will need to create paths and scenes by manipulating each science, which sounds straightforward, but you could soon find yourself with a balled-up mess.
It isn’t just Paige whose story you will be following. A cast of colourful and interesting characters will also be popping up on her journey from home, each with their own life story to share, further building the wonder of this charming little world.
Paper Trail is already making quite the name for itself, having already reaped a raft of awards, over 38 of them and counting. These include Best Family Game from the Gamescom Awards, Most Innovative at IndiX, Best Mobile Game at Taipei Game Show, and Game of the Year from Reboot Develop.
Paper Trail will be available to play through Netflix Games on May 21st, and will of course require a subscription to Netflix, starting at $6.99 and including access to a huge amount of games including Dead Cells, Exploding Kittens, and soon, Paper Trail.
