Palworld and Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth are two of the biggest highlights of the year so far. Pocketpair’s epic has arguably been the most successful release of 2024 with over 25 million players, meanwhile, FF7 is a breath-taking and emotional JRPG with some of the greatest characters of all time. Now the two worlds have collided with this Palworld x Final Fantasy 7 mod that introduces the cutest pal and playable Tifa.
Fans of Palworld have lots to anticipate. The game is getting a new evil pal in an update soon, and players can sign up to test ‘exciting new content’ and future updates before they are released to the general public. In addition, developer Pocketpair is reaching out to the community to hire for a new exciting opportunity that fans can apply for on Twitter.
All of the above is great news, but the PC community also has the luxury of being able to download mods. PC fans can now breed unreleased pals from Pocketpair, and the PC community can also make worlds collide by installing mods that add Tifa from Final Fantasy 7 along with a ridiculously cute pal that rocks Cloud’s chocobo hairstyle.
Palworld mods add Tifa and Cloud from Final Fantasy 7
There are two Palworld x Final Fantasy 7 mods available to download from Nexus. The first adds Tifa Lockhart as a playable character and the model actually looks pretty damn good.
Per the mod’s web page, it replaces ‘Heat resistant metal armor with Tifa Lockhart’. It says you need to ‘install no head mod first’ to be able to use the full-character version. Lastly, you install it by placing the .PAK into Palworld/Content/Paks/mods.
Obviously, the mod doesn’t look as good or polished as Tifa in Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth on PS5, but it still looks good enough for fans who are interested. Sadly, there’s no mod to make the real best girl, Aerith, playable.
Away from Tifa, another Final Fantasy 7 mod for Palworld introduces an adorable new pal. This is the Pengulett Cloud Strife, and it changes the default Pengulett pal model to where it now rocks the iconic blonde spikey hair of Cloud (and Cloud Jr.). It even has a sword stuck to its back much like Cloud with his iconic buster sword.
Depresso probably would’ve been a more befitting pal seeing as it’s secretly a softie constantly brooding, but the Pengulett Cloud model is still adorable. You can check out the creator’s tutorial video on YouTube to see how they made the mod.
