MORE HYPOCRITICAL TALK

So Justin Trudeau says that nobody can be indifferent to the suffering in the Gaza Strip amid the Hamas-Israel war and that Canadians have a right to protest and make their anger heard.

Article content

This is hypocritical talk because he invoked the Emergencies Act on the convoy protest and froze citizens’ bank accounts for making donations to their cause, while the pro-Palestinian protests are, in his mind, peaceful protests. Some of these protesters are assaulting not only Jewish people, their homes and businesses, etc., but Trudeau even had to cancel his dinner with the Italian prime minister because these protesters wouldn’t let anyone into the building.

Imagine if the truckers went around acting like these protesters; they would have been hooked and booked in a heartbeat.

SERIOUSLY WEAK LEADERSHIP

Re: Canada resuming funding to UN aid agency for Palestinians in Gaza Strip, online, March 8

Since becoming prime minister, Justin Trudeau has chosen to closely align himself with the often dysfunctional United Nations. This has included his blindly adopting the World Economic Forum/UN radical climate change agenda that not only includes a war on fossil fuels, but now even on farmers.

Trudeau’s refusal to immediately stop funding UNRWA, which allegedly had a number of staffers join with Hamas in the brutal attack on Israeli citizens, shows a serious weakness in leadership. Trudeau’s strength is participating in photo-ops, not providing the clear and decisive leadership Canadians expect.

DON’T RENAME CHARLOTTE

Have we not learned? Now there is a push to rename part of Charlotte Street in front of the Russian Embassy to Navalny Street. Do you think there is a street in Russia named Lester B. Pearson or Tommy Douglas or Terry Fox?

There will always be people who want to rewrite history, so they will find a reason to discredit Navalny, then inflict protests at this renaming upon our city.

Don’t name streets after people who weren’t born here. Just stop.
