LEGO Fortnite has been one of the most popular game modes over the past few months. The mode reached a concurrent peak of 2.4 million players in its first week, which was impressive. While the player count has gone down since then, LEGO Fortnite still has hundreds of thousands of daily players, and this number could get even higher after the next update.
According to a recent blog post by Epic Games, LEGO Fortnite will receive a big content update this week. With the release of a new season, Fortnite players will receive a new Battle Pass and a couple of free skins. However, the upcoming update will bring new content for other game modes as well, including the popular sandbox mode.
The next LEGO Fortnite update will bring new skin styles
Almost every skin in Fortnite has its LEGO style. Epic Games plans to release this style for each skin and will get closer to this goal with the next update. The game developer revealed that many Fortnite skins will receive LEGO styles. While we still don’t have an entire list of these skins, Epic confirmed that the following ones will receive new styles:
- Beach Bomber
- Brite Agent
- Burnout
- Chomp Sr
- Hime
- Marshmello
- Maven
- Spider Knight
- Toxic Trooper
- Vertex
The list is much longer, but we’ll have to wait for the update to come out first!
LEGO Kits are coming to the game
Earlier this year, Epic Games sent out a survey that made players slightly worried. The survey included an option for exclusive LEGO Fortnite bundles that would be sold in the Item Shop, and this is what is coming with the next update. The video game developer has announced three different kits that you will be able to use in your and your friends’ worlds.
- Beachside Boulevard (1,900 V-Bucks) – 7 builds, 44 decor items
- Durrr Burger (2,000 V-Bucks) – 3 builds, 41 decor items
- Lion Knights’ Castle (2,500 V-Bucks) – 10 builds, 64 decor items
The first two bundles will come to the shop on March 9, while the Legendary castle will arrive on March 16. You will also be able to place these new builds in up to eight of your friends’ worlds per week. Furthermore, Epic revealed that more free builds, building parts, and decor items will arrive in the game at a later date.
The upcoming LEGO Fortnite update will also bring several gameplay changes and bug fixes. Here is what Epic Games revealed:
- Your constructs are less likely to break unexpectedly
- Wheel attachments will no longer teleport and damage constructs
- Players will no longer teleport as a result of getting up from a chair
- Villagers assigned to the Loom will no longer give incorrect resources
- Villagers following you can now follow you on stairs
- Crashes are less likely when you’re exiting caves
- General crashes are less likely
Finally, the game developer teased steering wheels and other mechanical parts coming to LEGO Fortnite. According to the blog post, these additions will arrive to the game with an update later this month.
